Paul Faulkner

Yup. Looking forward to it, and seeing how that little church fits into the context of the landscape.

Doug Mackey

Naomi certainly is! Besides the promise of exciting archaeology, we get a pub scene! 🍻

Alana Tolstad

Oh John!---Great seeing how excited everyone is going into this! Yes, let's GO!

Thomas Nyvell

Looking forward to seing John Gator drinking beer again....

Not Public

Ready for that pub scene. Also the discovery!! I can't wait. Highlight of my week!

Paul Williams

Brilliant, can't wait. Enjoyed John's contribution!

Todd Gillespie

Good to see Richard Morriss back on site

William Rome

I agree with John...a nice cold pint at the end of a day in the field cannot be beat.

Alan Murdock

Thanks John, somebody has to pick up the slack for Phil not being there.

Simon Willatts

There has always been something great about the pub scenes, when everyone is talking and has had time to forget the cameras are there.

Dorothy Frank

Just finished day 1! So good ♡ I really like Gus as the presenter, he does a great job. Looking forward to day 2. This site has the potential to be amazing.

I love Time Team! It’s so cool to learn about my ancestors. I’m an American but have an ancestry from all over the UK and one other country in Europe. I have so many questions for you guys I wish I could have a conversation with all of you I’m just amazed at all the things you’ve done and I applaud you for your work!

Brett W Walters

All raise a pint old curmudgeon ale for Stewart...

Janine Tegeler

Just finished day 3. Congratulations to this really great episodes.

Dr Richard Mellish

What did they find to indicate that this actually was the site of the preceptory? The chapel is partly old enough, but someone says near the end that the preceptory would more likely have had a stone chapel. And none of the other "lumps and bumps" was identified as a medieval building.

Kay Theriault

This's brilliant. I can't wait to see what further investigation of the crypt reveals. I know there was mention of doing photogrametry in the whole space, so I can't wait to see what comes of that! <3

Mark Gaither

I watched all three episodes, twice actually and I'm not sure if they found the Preceptory or not? Help me out please.

2026-09-08 22:00 Love, love love the 3-part format! Question: Who is Elizabeth?? In the summary on Day 3 we focus on a name plate that reads "Elizabeth Halston, Died 6 ? ?69, Aged 66" but Gus refers to John Halston's nameplate. Was there no footage of John's plate, so the editor used that, or am I hallucinating? I've re-watched and zoomed in and I can't work out how even the most florid copperplate, at any angle could turn 'Elizabeth' into 'John' 😂 and I'd really love to know who she was - I mean, perhaps it was her whorl weight 🥰

No, I noticed the same thing. Paused the video and read "Elizabeth Halston, Died (possibly April?) 6, (possibly a 1,, could sort of make out a 7?) 69 Aged 66" Though out loud to my husband "who's Elizabeth and why are they saying this is John's?" Also, if John isn't there, that covered thing might not be the bear pet? Although John could still be in one of the other coffins - so it's not out of the range of possibility

Same! Really wondering who Elizabeth was!
