Here's the full preview for episode 11! Making this episode has been a bumpy ride, but it's in and done! We're going to start working on getting this up on YouTube ASAP, but it's going to take a while before we clear the copyright situation so this is probably where it's going to live for a while.

SO. MANY. GOOD. LINES! Also, I would have totally shipped Rin & Lancer if he'd survived a bit longer--really, you need at least 3 to call it a proper harem anyway. :D

ZASSHU

I think the Emiya in all caps is like a Japanese thing with surnames.

Paul

well that was incredible.

Zelkova Tatl

Its to differentiate him from shirou emiya himself thats all.

HOLLLLYYY THAT WAS WORTH THE BLUE BALLS FROM Ep10

David Simon

In the Original Japanese version Emiya as in Kiritsugu and Shirou's family name is written in Kanji, "衛宮" but when referring to the servant it's written in katakana, "エミヤ". This difference is hard to get across in English as there's only one writing system so translators used all caps for the servant as the closest thing.

Rezz

Fucking awesome

ZASSHU

I do know some Japanese organizations do use all cap surnames if they deal with Western countries alot to deal with the different first name/last name conventions

Ben Verschell

"It's got Doctor Who now." Which reminds me, this week has at least TWO awesome things returning: UBWA and Doctor Who.

Ben Verschell

Also, I love how many things are getting tied up. How many things that seemed like simple jokes have deeper connections or how things that were seemingly overlooked were intentionally done so. My hat is off to the beautiful web of writing you have constructed.

Ben Verschell

I know he would have no interest in doing so, I feel like Kirei is probably flexible enough to literally blow himself.

Aria Raney

Literally every line out of Lancer's mouth this episode was incredible. I'm sad we didn't get a final limerick, but with the context that he never wanted to do them in the first place I suppose it makes sense. BATTLE CONTINUATION BITCH

Eri

Absolutely LOVE that most of Shirou's end speech contains elements of his UBW incantation!!

XChronos

To me, this episode cements this as one of, if not the best abridged series out there. The fact that all the little references Archer made along the way ended up being what helped Shiro and Rin uncover his identity, and that those pieces were there the whole time, blows my mind in ways I cannot begin to describe.

Buffyhowe

My son's handle on discord is emina witch is anime backwards. It kinda sounds like emiya

Tykus

HOLY EXPOSITION BATMAN!

Tactical Bagels

Such a magnificent episode. You guys really show how well you understand the original story, while also refining it and having fun with it in a respectful way.

Logan Teague

I love how Kirei was Aizen/Josh Groban, controlling someone to make them do things for his amusement.

Obviously Nick

I wanna comment something, but I'm truly speechless. All I can do is wait for more to perfect the series

Christoper Nguyen

What did Lancer say as he killed Kirei? I cannot understand it for some reason. At 29:03.

Morgan Freeman-Sheehy

"Battle Continuation, bitch!" it's a skill he has that basically lets him survive near-fatal wounds until the fight is over

Christoper Nguyen

No, not that. At the end at 29:03 right before he "takes a nap"

0th Law

"Shut up and meet your god," if I heard correctly.

0th Law

I love this. I love fucking everything about this. Especially including Saber pointing out how stupid Archer's plan is, as well as Shirou sorta figuring out the words of his Unlimited Blade Works chant as he speaks.

Momentei

This was amazing. I wish that we could get more Lancer. He was one of the best parts of the series.

Matthew O'Neill

"Yorokobe" means "Rejoice" in Japanese. Kirei says it to Shirou when he leaves the church all the way back to the VN and has become a bit of a meme, it was even used in the Abridged at the end of episode 5 towards Shinji. The full quote is essentially "Rejoice, boy, your wish has finally been granted. A hero cannot exist without evil to vanquish". It's the first time Shirou is called out for the hypocrisy of his dream if I recall correctly, saying that Shirou was hoping that people's lives would be put in danger so that he could save them.

Travis

You worked the UBW incantation into the script THAT IS SO COOL!!!

David

Can't wait for the followup!
