The story of the demise of Cole O’Ptera, legendary scarabid hero of the Timespun Sands, is a much less eventful one than the many astounding tales of his achievements. In his golden years, Cole settled down in the Blackpowder Mines to train and protect a band of miners. When the world-eating timestorm came knocking, they were too slow to escape, and all were swallowed. Simple. Quick. Debatably painless.

Were it not for chronomancy, this would have been an easy end to his story. But even in the void of inexistence, duty called for Cole O’Ptera. A party of heroes plans to travel back in time to rescue him, requiring his assistance in purging the source of the cataclysm that claimed his life. And were it not for chronomancy, this would be an easy task...

End Times Series: Part VI

This hunt, Shootout at the Blackpowder Mines, is intended for 3 to 7 characters and is optimised for a party of 4 with an average party level (APL) of 8, 13, or 18. Characters who complete this hunt should earn enough experience to progress two-fifths of the way to level 9, four-fifths of the way to level 14, or all the way to level 19, respectively. The party must defend a community of miners from an apocalyptic cult and learn a gunslinging technique meant to kill a paradox.
