This is a paper doll I never thought I'd make but I am so glad I did! The costumes in the 2004 Phantom are quite lovely, but also very simple compared to the stage versions designed by Maria Bjornson! In the stage production the story is set in 1881 and the film version is set in 1861 and the costumes are changed to reflect that, while many creative liberties were taken. Christine wears 11 outfits in the film, including costumes worn in the staged operas 'Hannibal' and 'Il Muto.' One can assume that the only outfits that are her personal clothing were her nightgown and the dress she wears in "Twisted Every Way." Most outfits more than likely theater costumes even the gown she wears to the cemetery!
