That little "Rip Spin" toy dude with the pull thing probably would have worked better on a tile floor. It reminds me of these little cars and a couple of motorbikes that me and my brother played with as kids where it had the same plastic pull cord thing that you would put in them and pull them out to fire them up. I can't remember the name of them sadly.
