Dear Dr. Ashen, I'm a Québécoise living within the metropolitan area of Chepstow, and I'm writing to you in need of advice. How can I have the men I date understand my love for bad cinema like Raiders of the Living Dead and Microwave Massacre? I have no problem showing a man a good time, however, as soon as I bring them back to my place and put on a movie like Canadian Ninja for example, they start to make their way for the door. Do you think I go too far on the first date? Should I ease them into my interest by showing them something tame like a Troma film first before going all the way to Ogroff levels? It seems I now have an unflattering reputation with the local men, because now when I invite a man over promising them a so-bad-it's-good type of night, they say if it's to just watch a movie they're not interested. I have a feeling that men have only one thing on their minds when it comes to us French girls! Of course you know what that is - we are all into arthouse! I'm 43, and my biological clock is ticking! What was the bad thing that happened during the filming of Polybius Heist? If you can't answer that for legal reasons, can you tell me who would win in a fight between Mr Soft and Zangief? This is more of a request now you are playing point and click games on Twitch. Monkey Island please? They did a revamp of the graphics a while ago if you wanted a fresh look, you can alter between the versions on the fly as well.

What is your favourite type of horror and what do you think makes it effective? Any favourite examples? (Films/video games/books etc.) This part isn’t a question but hopefully an answer to the mystery surrounding the Cadbury money box refills (if you don’t have one already.) My mom used to get them for me around Christmas in the early 2000s - they came in a small purple and gold cardboard box (google image search Cadbury Dairy Milk Miniatures if interested.) I asked my mom where she used to get them and she said they were sold pretty much everywhere and she even used to buy them as a treat when she did a paper round as a kid (c.mid 60s.) This is all fairly local to Bourneville where the Cadbury factory is (she even had a relative that worked there) so possibly more available due to proximity? I didn’t connect the dots that they were meant for the money boxes until years later when I heard you talking about them. Apologies for the long off-topic message but I hope you find this interesting!

1) What is your secret to making your videos completely timeless across more than a decade? When I watch a video I can't tell if it's from 2010 or last week. 2) What are your favorite beers? If you’ll allow me another question, have you seen Bloodborne PSX and are you interested? If you haven’t, it’s a fan made ‘demake’ of Bloodborne with PS1 graphics. In the same vein, recently there have been quite a few indie horror games styled in the same way, most notably The Convenience Store and Fatum Betula (although this one is less horror and more general weirdness.) Are you interested in such things?
