It is the 12th of September, and Poundland have the Christmas stock out already. There was more of this than Halloween stuff!

Fun fact - a customer once complained to me because we didn't have Christmas cards out in September. Ah, retail. Don't miss that life at all.

Poundlands, $1 Stores, 1 Euro stores are deeply affected by supply chain issues - locally they've been spreading the stock they do have wider to fill out shelves (so the sweets aisle has slowly been creeping around the corner into housewares.) I suspect this is Christmas stock left in their warehouse from last year they're happy to have and throw on shelves because they simply can't get the Halloween materials they've ordered.

Also those stress balls look freaky and weird. "A jolly festive stress ball" which looks like a decapitated penguin.

Yep - I was in Wilko in Swindon last Tuesday and they had already cleared away a section at the front and were putting out tags, baubles and wrapping paper.

Well, around here the pallet loads of Gingerbread (for Christmas) popped up at the local supermarket on the 13th of August already - that's the earliest I've ever come across them. And going by the best before dates this wasn't last year's remains, either...

I saw halloween chocolate lolly amidst christmas chocolates in Sainsburys the other day. Very confused vibes

July is now when they start flogging the Halloween stuff. It’s when Spirit shops started opening here.

Here's an idea, if there's more Christmas stuff than Halloween, you can use the Christmas stuff to decorate for Halloween. Just get some black and red markers, black out eyes, add fake blood and there you go. Blood soaked snowmen, demonic elves, zombie Santa, etc.

Halloween stuff goes really quick now - the scalpers have latched on. Homesense and TKMaxx was sold out by August. And most of it is on Ebay

I've always found it puzzling when they put out things like mince pies that expire in October and yet are marked, 'For Christmas!'
