The amount of energy that takes to launch a book, juggle commissions and manage the impact of brutal life events definitely took a toll on how much of Infernal Flowers we were able to create and share with you, besides the awesome prints we released.

It's a real shame, since Lust Incarnate Comics started as very much just Dee and I, wanting to create dope comics together. A flicker of ambition led us to wanting to expand, and have other artists create things with us. There's been a lot of work, and personally, in my darkest days, I struggle to see the glimmer in everything: but we persist, because the other option is much more frightening.

There's a lot of that in Infernal Flowers, which I am desperate to get to. It is a world wrecked by war, by corruption, by negligence, and still, these people persevere, they survive, holding on to their desire to live. I can't wait for us to show more of Tex and Jules, but the others as well. All of them rich with their own undeniable, unshakeable truths.

This spread is very much the first time we pull back from their home, their streets, and to the skies above New-New Orlens. It will be filled with little landmarks, as close to the real city as we felt comfortable and engaged becoming.

I hope you enjoy this look, and this little ramble explaining where we are, and how very Human we are. We honestly, could not have gone this far without your support, and I hope it doesn't waver: we are very much trying. ❤️
