It happens that to intimidate, even just for a defensive purpose, we use the slang of the slums or places where we come from. Also for a matter of pride. I think this is the reason, also because I see that she's gone back to talking almost normally with the nurse.

Before her re-generation, she had accepted her age and had no reason to get intimidated, but now she is a lot stronger, her former self and fiery spirit is coming back and this is relayed in her quick change of attitude... And yes Kanesha has that same trait :)
