April Token: Cat - first sketches (Patreon)

Hi everybody!

After a few relaxing days of wellness and travelling in Japan around the Izu peninsula, I am now back in Tokyo for a few more days. I will spend a lot of time in parks and temples while sketching and thinking about new projects and ideas. Especially the cat token for this month.

Here are some first doodles from my sketch book.

I am torn between a living cat in a cool pose and a more stylised statue approach like old Egyptian brass figurines of cats. I like the majestic feel of those statues.

I could see a Japan inspired tiger statue.

So many possibilities! What do you think?
