Upgrading the Studio (Patreon)

Hi guys,The last 4 days I was upgrading the studio. Since I started with more traditional painting last year, I did not have a dedicated space in my studio for doing that. I have the luxury of space so I placed my easel just in the middle of the room and had a small table at the side. But the light situation was not great and the accessibility of my paint supplies like paint and brushes was super annoying. It was not in reach and nothing had it's place. So I decided to use this nook here in my studio as a dedicated traditional work area.I painted the walls dark, so with all the lights you don't have that much glare on the wet paint. It also contrasts better with the colors. I would always recommend painting on dark. Even in photoshop. The surrounding low contrast of a dark environment lets your colors pop more and you can judge them more accurately. I also got some big studio lights for more control over the situation and installed a wall easel like in Andrew Tischlers studio. This comes in handy as soon as I paint on bigger canvases. My normal easel can not hold especially wide canvases so this wall easel will be perfect for this.I can also use it as a place for drying paintings.A propper work bench is also super important and lets me access everything super fast.I will now see how I will use the wall on the right side. But for now that is a perfect start so the painting can begin!!! Lets fucking go!
