Good health, dear Cossacks!!! A whole month has passed since our last post. You know, this time it was a fully conscious decision. This post is very important, so please read it all the way through—the decision we’ve reached wasn’t an easy one, but that doesn’t make it any less right.

A CRITICAL DECISION. Many in our community already know this, but for newcomers, let’s emphasize: a full-scale war has been raging in our country for about 4.5 years now. Our lives have changed several times during the invasion by the muzkovites (ruzzians). And we ourselves will never be the same as we were before. Many of our citizens have lost their lives, homes, family members, friends, and acquaintances. Instead of creating, building their own lives, or spending time with family and friends, many have stepped up to defend the country—including us, the developers of TBR:Retransmitter. We’re grateful for every new day that our defense forces fight to secure for us, no matter how difficult it may be.

But in our case, the best way to show our gratitude is through proactive action. That’s why we’ve made a promise to ourselves: if our turn comes, we must accept it with dignity. We don’t want to say much about this—we think it’s clear enough as it is. So we want to be as honest and open with the community as possible. Let’s talk about that.

WHAT ABOUT THE PROJECT. For now, we’re freezing active development of TBR and other projects for about half a year. Development will continue on a part-time basis—that is, whenever we have the time and energy for it. We probably won’t have much time at all during the first three months, and in the second half of the year, we’ll need to settle in and get used to our new lives and responsibilities :).

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS. On official platforms alone, our game has gathered more than 3 million views, over half a million downloads, and built a welcoming community that has always been with us. With every update, the game has become higher quality and more polished. When we started, we couldn’t have imagined that we’d be able to come this far.

Yes, TBR wasn’t perfect and didn’t have a clear vision at the beginning. But this is our first project—the product of our mistakes and attempts. And only those who do nothing make no mistakes. The main thing is that we’ve now established a clear direction for what we’re doing. We’re confident that in the future, it will become a commercial success—the latest updates prove this beyond a doubt. The community supported us despite the lack of new content in the updates because they trusted our choices. For that, we’ll always be deeply grateful!

UNIMPLEMENTED PLANS. By the end of this year, we planned to bring TBR to the crucial 0.1 update! Finally, a fully-fledged product that would be exclusively expanded with content and have a cohesive and understandable core gameplay system. It was only after this update that all players would be able to decide whether our game was interesting to them – there would DEFINITELY be no more drastic changes. You may also have noticed that we wrote “development of TBR and other projects”—and that wasn’t just for show :).

SECRET is our second project, which we’ve been developing for almost a whole year and was just a few steps away from release L. This is the biggest loss for us—we were planning to release version 0.1 RIGHT AWAY!!! Yes, friends, you won’t believe it, but we’ve learned from our mistakes! A completely different approach to development—thoughtful and practical. We have to give credit to our first project—it taught us what NOT to do, and that already makes our daily work and its organization much easier. You can expect lots of behind-the-scenes insights about it ;).

CURRENT PLANS. Despite all the challenges, we still plan to continue development to the best of our ability. Given our current circumstances, here’s what we want to do:

Outline the entire TBR storyline structure through the end of the game (we already have the ending and the main key events, without going into detail);

Finish writing the storyline and translation for the second project of the debut update (half of the text is already done);

If there’s time left, focus on TBR development.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO OUR ACTIVITY. In the near future, we WON’T BE ABLE to post actively. But since that’s the case, we’ll lay all our cards on the table and reveal our future plans! So don’t think that everything will come to a standstill—that’s not true!

IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO US. Don’t worry—we’ll definitely find a way to let you know. We have friends we trust.

THE MAIN THING IS, THIS ISN’T GOODBYE, FRIENDS. Don’t even think about getting down! We have no plans to disappear anywhere, and we’ll keep fighting just like we always have. After all, you know one thing for sure—we’ve got more than enough determination to spare :). If you decide to keep supporting us, we’ll be incredibly happy. If you choose to step back, we’ll respect that decision too. Either way, we’ll keep doing our thing—we’ll keep working, even if we have to make some major adjustments. We’ve been through worse—it’s hard to surprise us with anything anymore, hahaha.

So, until our next inevitable meeting, Cossacks! We’ll show everyone what we’re made of! Thanks for your attention!!! Budmo!!! Stand with Ukraine!!!
