Would you prefer the confession to happen & the speaker falls to sleep feeling content that it's off their chest now OR would you prefer the listener to 'wake up' & for the speaker to have to explain themselves? Bonus points if you tell me what might follow the second option! I have ideas but they've all been done before.. just looking to see what the experts think. :3 thank you for helping me <3

I've heard a few where the speaker confesses and the listener was awake the whole time and they just didn't notice and they've all been pretty good

I haven't seen/heard any where they think we sleep replied "we feel the same".

For a second I thought the second option would be for the speaker to confess while the listener was asleep and that's the end of it. Listener doesn't "wake up" and the confession isn't even answered. Speaker just goes to sleep, heart full of longing as well as disappointment over not having the courage to confess while the listener is awake. It would be a more bittersweet ending to a confession audio, which I don't take to be a bad thing at all. It would help it stand out too, I think. And you could always make a part 2 some time in the future, where perhaps the listener reveals they were secretly just fake sleeping and knew the speaker's feelings all along or something like that. Lots of potential for a small series there

I think an implication where the listener doesn’t wake up but just mumbles “I love you too” in their sleep would be super sweet

What if the listener was half asleep and they wake up thinking they dreamed the confession? Then they could tell the speaker about the dream. That could lead to the listener confessesing and the speaker admits it wasn't a dream. Or the speaker could immediately tell them it's wasn't a dream and the listener could be relieved and tell her they feel the same way.

If it's the second option then either it's followed by kissing and cuddling or spooning with comforting words as they fall asleep together.

Idk about any other options. Not an expert at this. Feel like if the two options I do like the speaker telling and the listener confessing back that they like them too. Having a very shy and cute conversation and having lovely cuddles and kisses at the end is really wholesome 💜

I’d prefer waking up and hearing it, maybe the listener half-heard what they had to say while dreaming (kinda like dreaming with your alarm going off, if you’ve ever done that) and the listener tells the speaker that they have similar feelings and could have told them while awake, but was glad to have caught them anyway. Then they both snuggle and fall back asleep because the listener is tired.

I like the idea of both <3 like the listener catches them and speaker explain but how you do that cute cut off and speaker get the reassurance that the feeling is mutual and then both fall asleep together

Maybe a mixture of both. The speaker is about to fall asleep, then the listener wakes up and cuddles her. The speaker tries to explain, but the listener says there's no need because they feel the same about her. The two then share a few kisses before falling asleep in eachother's arms.

The second option would be pretty cute if we teased the speaker about it with a little “I kinda dreamt that you said that you love me to bitsss 😩😩 (with a little exaggeration)”

I like the idea of falls asleep, and then a part twooooooo where we reveal we heard them, and you become like a blushy mess but it all goes well and we affirm and reassure you that we want the same thing
