Never do in the sketch phase the error to detail everything right away, like starting face then chest them arms, that will lead to 2 things1 will have lot of errors in proportion and pose2 your eye will get too used to it that you won't spot errors and you'll get tired drawingIs better to do a rough doodle with good proportions several times then when is good you can start adding detailsThat's why sometimes you find art with lot of detail but really bad anatomy and proportions

That's good advice, I never thought about it like that.

Your post is so relatable. Thanks for the tip! I just started drawing a couple of days ago. It's hard but it's fun. I'm currently using a Wacom Intuos; I'm still getting use to the disconnect between the eyes and my drawing hand. If I see my self get better I'll try to invest on a touch screen. May I ask what your setup for drawing is?

anytime, and yes takes some time to do the mapping on your head, luck keep practicing, my setup is a custom pc desktop a 25'' dell monitor and a wacom intuos 4 small tablet, sometimes not always i use a cintiq 13 hd the old one, the one you have to connect to a pc not the portable

Mine is a custom PC with a 22" Samsung monitor. For drawing, I use a small Wacom Intuos (CTL4100).

Thanks for the advice, since I'm used to drawing traditional I had the bad habit of doing everything in one go
