Welcome to all our new Obscura friends! <3 (I trust the crew and story have been treating you well?)With our commitment to release monthly(ish) content, we’re already hard at work on the next batch of interactions. (It never ends.)
Right now, we’re building a Guys’ Night/Girls’ Night scene with more crew time, so you can experience how the crew interacts with each other. We’ve got plenty of fun ideas, but we keep hitting a few directional questions that will affect how the scene is written… so we figured: let’s ask you.
The big question: who gets invited? (Choice 1)
Option A: Gender-based invite (classic “brotherhood/sorority” vibe):
Girls’ Night is for gals + non-binary MCsGuys’ Night is for guys + non-binary MCsThis gives each scene a distinct vibe and adds replayability.
Option B: Your MC can attend either one (you choose):
Every MC gets invited to both, and you pick which one to go to.This is more flexible, but we’re worried it could feel odd if your MC ends up being the “one guy” at Girls’ Night or the “one girl” at Guys’ Night, especially if romance is involved. (I can already see your mind wandering.)
(We considered that gender isn’t really a big deal in the future (while still being a big deal for some upcoming lore reasons), so both could work.)
The other question we’ve been asking ourselves: should there be a potential romantic element? (Choice 2)
During the night, we could include optional moments where attraction/sexuality comes up, especially if your Mah’Abeu is gay or bi, leading to optional playful flirting or even optional exploration with someone else in the group. (Based on your attraction preferences.)
We love the idea (this is a kissing game), but we also don’t want it to overshadow the core vibe of the scene: bonding with the crew and experiencing the group dynamic. Since it’s optional, I’m probably overthinking it, but here we are.
Please send help.
We know it’s going to be a fun scene either way, we just want to build it in the direction you’ll enjoy most. Please pick one option from Choice 1 and one Option form Choice 2 if you want to be helpful, or, you know, do what ever you want. I'm not your mom and I can't tell you what to do.
