Devlog 2026-04-03 (Patreon)

Happy Early Friday, everyone!

(Or Blessed Easter Friday if it applies to you! <3)

It’s a public holiday in South Africa tomorrow, so I wrote this devlog on a Thursday. GASP. It’s usually a day late when it’s not on a Friday, never early. Anyway, I have plans tomorrow to spend some quality time with my family, doing something fun for the little one. You might see me online later during the day, or I might be rebellious and not turn on my laptop at all. We’ll see.

But that’s not why you read these devlogs!

It’s been a productive Infinite Stars week.

The Royal Road story has been yielding some traffic to the game, so if you helped to nudge the algorithm, thanks! If you forgot, but still want to help, read last weeks devlog.

I did a livestream yesterday for a few hours where we implemented the sprites for Halen, Ollas, and [Redacted, but apparently “She’s so pretty” from the livestream chat]. We also added some missing outfits for Lindiwe, AND we added some sprite stuff for Veera and Khalil to make the latest content more immersive. (It will be ingame with the next release, probably end of this month again?)

If that wasn’t exciting enough, some of you might recall we had an open invite to our followers last year to design some crew members for side stories etc. We had way more responses than we anticipated, and only 10 new character slots. 10 people have been chosen, and they are actively busy designing the new characters that Tae will draw next month.

I’ve also continued working on the continuation and wrap-up of Episode 4. You might have seen some chatter about it in the Discord server. (If you’re not in the Discord server and want to help shape the direction of the game from time to time when a Patreon poll would be overkill, or if you just want to see pretty fan art and hang out with other Mah’Abeu’s, you should totally click this link for an invite!)

(Seriously, if you're not in Discord server, you're missing out on fanart like this, made by @BurningAlder on YouTube. Go look him up and give him a follow <3)

We had a silly April Fools scare in the Discord announcements yesterday, and we’re planning to release a Tabitha lore post later this month. I also have a bunch of pinups I need to sort through. Not sure if anyone wants to see a Naaka pinup? Let me know, because I have a Naaka pinup amongst others.

Other than that, my brain is still in marketing mode. Obligatory If you love Infinite Stars, tell online strangers about it, mention.

Have a lovely weekend. Be safe. Be kind.

Much love and kindness, James.
