Wow, spring is upon us in just a month. This year has been just wild in so many ways already.

First off, I'm so sorry it's been a crawl lately, and [I'm] really thankful for you all still looking forward to more stories. I mentioned it a little in my last post, but as some might already be dealing with, certain workplaces are getting major AI pushes from the top. It's been relentless, and for me, effectively becoming a survival requirement to stay employable/relevant. This along with the pressure to relatively stick to the schedule of stories I've announced instead of what I'm inspired to write just put me in a lot of stress about delivering expectations instead of what's fun and getting me steamed up.

So a few changes this next few releases:

  • I am taking a break on requests, and any pending requests out there are cancelled until season's end where I'll reevaluate. Also, I will not be announcing a bunch of specific stories, because a lot of times when I finish one, I get a lot of ideas for follow-ups (some that I even start writing), but stop and try to force myself back to the formal schedule which really just slows me down.

  • Stories this season will still try to balance orientations as appropriate, but species or miniseries won't follow any strict ordering, just what I have the inspiration for.

  • I'll still be doing some polls this season, but I'm just going to focus on species polls and more abstract story concepts, like when you all voted on naming Lycanite. I'm currently going back to a few of the follow-up and inspired stories I had started working on and getting them polished for release.

Thanks again for the support, and I'll be seeing you beasties again very soon.

I'm glad you're back. Don't put too much pressure on yourself in life; the important thing is to do things with passion and perseverance. If life offers you an opportunity, don't hesitate; be brave and take the risk. The important thing is to always trust your own decisions, and most importantly, value yourself.
