For a while, with everyone absent in Seriana's room, I'd been lying on the sofa while Teresa had been sitting with perfect posture, but Seriana and Elena finally returned to the room.

"Welcome backー. Good work. You were pretty late, weren't you?"

It's not dark yet, but the sun's already pretty low.

It's probably been several hours since I got back to the city.

Seriana and the others entered the room and sat in their usual seats.

"Originally, it wasn't supposed to take this long. But August came to the office with a report he'd revised further based on the information you all brought back, so dealing with that took time."

"Oh... that's tough. Were there any changes?"

If they were to revise anything from our report, it'd be at most about the response to the western side of the northern forest, but the scope would get quite a bit wider, and thinking about how far to include... it seems like a bit of a pain.

Good work.

When I looked at Seriana, she let out a small sigh and shrugged her shoulders.

"For the time being, there aren't any major changes. However, entry into the forest is likely to be restricted more strictly. Also, notices will be sent to the towns and villages in western Riana."

"Oh dear... won't just patrolling the highway be enough? That's tough."

"We can leave it to the unit that patrols the highway, and the burden won't increase that much, so it's okay. Though my husband's hurrying to finish the instructions addressed to the deputies right now."

"That's tough in its own way..."

I don't grasp all of Liesel's work, and I don't watch his usual work carefully either, but I understand that formal instructions are probably different from the simple format submitted to places like the Merchant Guild.

Doing that for several cards... when it comes to that, it probably isn't easy.

"Please cast 【Prayer】 at the office tomorrow."

"Sure... I don't have anything to do tomorrow anyway."

I'd been thinking I'd kill time by lazing around the room, but... I've got a perfect time-killer.

"Ah... and also."

"Hmm? Is there something else?"

"The notice to those visiting the capital can be handled by Liesel, so that's fine, but separately from that, I want to hear from you too about the information August and the others compiled. The order ended up later, but you'll come with me tomorrow... all right?"

As Seriana says, I'd just been given something to do tomorrow, so the order's reversed, but it's not a big problem anyway.

"Ah... so that's what it is. I don't mind."

"Are you going to Fiora's laboratory after noon?"

"Hmmー... what should I do? Does it seem like there's work left? I just showed my face today, so I don't really know."

I asked Teresa, "How about it?" about the situation at the laboratory.

Teresa seemed to be recalling the state of the laboratory as she closed her eyes and muttered, "Let's see..."

"The work itself that you can help with, Princess, still remains in abundance, but for now, the work that needed to be done urgently has already been finished yesterday and today. Lord Zighart has just returned, and I don't think Lady Fiora will be rushing to finish work tomorrow either."

"Funu... in that case, maybe I'll spend tomorrow relaxing in the office..."

I don't dislike helping with little experiment-like tasks at the laboratory, but it's certain that I'd get bored if that went on forever.

When I answered that I'd accept, Seriana nodded, "Very well," and had a servant prepare paper and a pen.

"What're you writing?"

"I'm going to let Liesel know. The patrols are mainly the First Unit, and it'd be better if August or Rick were there too, right?"

"Well... that way we'll be able to cover the finer points too, and it'll save the trouble of being asked again later."

"That's right."

Seriana kept her pen moving even as she spoke, and she'd finished writing in no time.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
