Today we've got a new feature on the Patreon! A new audio delight for you to listen to while dusting your living room, preparing onions or making love.

If you've seen my new review of Delta Green and the superb Impossible Landscapes adventure, you'll remember some visits to The Knowledge Dungeon where you could hear snippets from my players talking about how our campaign went. Now, you can listen to that interview in its entirety!

This is probably one of the more vulnerable things I've done on Quinns Quest, since you can hear me chatting to two people I care about a great deal. I think what I've learned for the next time I interview my players is I'll be a bit less formal, but honestly, I was just nervous about you patrons liking them as much as I do.

Enjoy, everybody!

The time jump for the game was brilliant. I got to watch my FBI hostage rescue team agent get divorced, lose his therapist due to a particularly ugly mental health breakdown, become a depression prone public radio counter-terrorism expert in post 9/11 America, and be someone who really, really hopes that he never gets another call from Delta Green. That was not to be of course. . .

uwtartarus

Great chat, and fun insight into the campaign/game.

KingLoot

Quinns told me to let me know if I enjoyed this, so I'm here to say: I enjoyed this! A lot!

Braden Crichton

This was one of the big things I wanted to ask for in a Quinnister Benefactor interview. Glad to see you read my mind 👏

Tabitha

I loved this, it was really enjoyable to hear about your campaign, and more importantly for me, the player perspective. I wanted to run this for a while, and hearing about how the player side is really helps inform my decisions and choices regarding it.

Elizabeth

The interview touches on how the PC's argued over what should be done at the end of the campaign, but I'm DYING to know what actually ended up happening.

Jason Bratley

Bundle of Holding have a Delta Green bundle after your review @Quinns

You shouldn't worry about formality. It doesn't come across that way at all. This really feels like the final piece of the Quinns offering puzzle. Looking forward to many more of these

eveningdreamer

love the post campaign interview with players! it's nice to get their perspective on everything.

Paper Paladin

Not sure if this is the best place to ask this but I am curious how long an evening of play typically is for you, Quinns. My main group is predominately made of parents so we have to play after kid bedtime, meaning we only play in hour to hour and a half chunks. With that in mind I am curious how long Impossible lands would take to go through. Thanks!

Matt Wallis

Thanks for sharing this!

Holger

This is so great, your players answered what I wondered about when I read Impossible Landscapes: will players feel a certain lack of agency while playing?

Josh

From his review video I believe Quinn said this campaign was 12 sessions and 48 total hours, so I would guess 4 hr/session!

Kelan

Really enjoyed this. Great to hear from the players what it felt like to play the module and what stuck out to them. Gives a great feeling of fully rounded knowledge on what choosing to pick this up would be like. And so entertaining to boot. The lightning on a bottle of friends just talking and being fully comfortable. Please do more of these and please do more of the play to find out!

Given that you keep name-checking The Wire and Baltimore, we need to give you and your players a tour next time you’re in the States. Swing down after PAX Unplugged! …Especially since one of the East Coast’s best game stores, Games and Stuff, (in a nice Delta Green-esque touch) sprawls practically in the shadow of Ft. Meade and the NSA.

Lojaan

This was great!

Travis Diskin

Can't wait for the Garth Marenghi's Darkplace module!

Travis Diskin

And BTW, I very much enjoy these player debriefs. The additional perspectives help inform and are entertaining in their own right.

Lowroller

Quinns! What have you done! I've just got hold of Delta Green and Impossible Landscapes based on your review and this player feedback. Probably won't get to play it until 2026 however...

Nav Spider

this was great, i'd love to hear more player interviews! i don't get the chance to play many ttrpgs so it's fun to hear about other people's games

Spencer St. James

More of this. I really enjoy play to find out, but I I'm so hungry to hear about the sessions and the player feelings from the more mainstream and evolved stuff

Dan Svensson

hmmm the upcoming game being reviewed isa x-mas movie (die hard obviously) and an A24? movie... sounds indie so im gonna say the upcoming game is "die hard but the bad guys are human centipedes - the RPG" yeh enjoyed the conversation it was lovely

Kristof

This was great. Would love more of this :3

Jeffrey Alfaro

My real guess for what a24 movie they are referring to is "everything everywhere all at once" but I prefer as a joke answer to think that they are playing "the lighthouse" the RPG.

Mikkel Østergaard

I think it is The Green Knight (and the game is Mythic Bastionland)

Quinns Quest

Aha, interesting guess! That'd be a fun review

Daniel Higgins

Having issues downloading the podcasts via the pocket casts app. Very strange as it was working the other day, but now everything is showing up without timestamps and returning failed to download errors

Stephen Maslin

Are there impossible landscape spoilers here?

PaperSpace

This was a really cool and enjoyable listen. Having such an open talk about the player experience provides so much context and insight. Hope there is more of this.

Rocky Rocks

This was really nice, I'd love to hear more like this

Brian Bremer

I looked up A24 Christmas movies, and the one I found - I just ran an episodic, arcade-style, surrealist OSR game set in the Wirral peninsula. There’s no way Quinns is about to release a review of the game I just ran, right? There’s no way!

Thexiaphie

Really fun to listen to!

Brian Thomas

Yes! Definitely loved hearing first hand from your players!

Jake Elson

This was an incredible listen, props to everyone. Loved hearing from the players especially when it’s this insightful and eloquent. One day I will pluck up the confidence and run this…

Rob Sothoth

Unsurprisingly fantastic. I'm really falling in love, platonically speaking, with your content. My first taste was your review of Delta Green/impossible Landscapes, which is been introduced to by the fantastic Glass Cannon playthrough, and I was immediately taken with your FAR more interesting-than-the-rest-ever (dare I say scholarly) review, and I was sold. I'm a happy subscriber and expect to continue as such indefinitely.

John

I absolutely loved this conversation! It was great to hear the perspective from the other side of the table, to live vicariously for only a moment--or an hour plus of moments--with you all reminiscing over your shared experiences. More of this very please!

Eustace Lu

Matching Netrunner tattoos?? I have underestimated how passionate people are about Netrunner

Joshua Jaworski

Really interesting discussion here. I've been tempted to run this for a long time, and had forgotten that it involved the King in Yellow, which is one of my favourite books (for anyone who hasn't read it, it's a collection of short stories which inspired writers like HP Lovecraft and ranges from cosmic horror to uncanny romance pieces)!
