Art Book with Peow2 / Launching Now! (Patreon)

Hello! at 8am we're officially launching the art book kickstarter! It's open only for Patrons for two hours- and that's now!! Then we'll open it to the public at 11am EST. In this time you can snag some limited edition signed books or extras at your leisure.

Publisher revealed! Peow is coming back as Peow2 lol the sequel! There was some restructuring and now they're launching their new publishing house this weekend along with Mocca and the announcement of the art book. I'm really excited to see them come back- I love Peow's published work and happy to be working with them again- they published by first Riso comic Lemon & Ket about 8 years ago...which is crazy!!

Here's a link to their webshop, where you can see some of their other work like Linnea Sterte's Stages of Rot and Jean Wei's Heat.  Absolutely gorgeous work and I'm thrilled to be part of the team again.

If you're at MoCCA this weekend and have backed the kickstarter, then come by my table at 110 for a special free sticker!! We're giving them away exclusively at MoCCA this weekend as a special launch week thank you :3

So, more on the book! There are a few different sections, but mostly it's artwork split up into eras chronologically and themes and a whole Riso explanation section! Here's a little example of what that Riso section will look like-

Basically, lots of examples and breakdowns, studio pics and explanations of what Riso is and how I like to use it!

We're also planning some behind the scenes on several pages, either with sketches, the line art or a mock up of one of the colors used to print.

I should note- this book will not be Riso printed! The amount of work I wanted to include in the book is sooo much work for Riso and the book would have been soooo expensive, so Peow suggested making it offset with the spot colors I already have set up for the Riso, with fluorescent pink and fluo orange just like Riso. It'll look slightly different but the inks will be rich and vibrant with the spot fluorescent colors so I'm excited to see the proofs when they arrive! I don't usually have access to this printing process since the print minimums are very high so I'm thankful to be working with a publisher whose worked on several offset print books that were made to replicate or give the same nostalgic feeling as the Riso.

There are two rewards for the kickstarter- the regular book and the slipcase book! We're planning a fluorescent orange slipcase with gold foil stars on the front too.

Here's the link to the kickstarter if you'd like to check it out!

Thanks so much for the support and the love on this book so far- I feel it. Most of these images going into the kickstarter book have been from Patreon so it's nice to finally share a collection of the work here, in this special place where I know it's appreciated. Thank you!!!!
