Nausicaa Sketch + Fun Updates! (Patreon)

Just finished Nausicaa's sketch! I'll be headed to final soon. Really excited where this one is heading- super psychedelic fun spore forest with bugs galore. Hoping to have it finished this week to print next week! Please update those mailing addresses before I start shipping them out!

I'd ideally like to have it for Giant Robot's Konbini pop up event with JANM here in LA where friends of GR are tabling for a one day event- including me. If you're in LA it's a great way to come see a bunch of great art and support the Japanese American National Museum! That's happening on August 31st, here's the link to tickets for it, which allows you in the museum at the same time. I'll also have a copy of Dreaming in Color to check out!

Speaking of Dreaming in Color, Peow just put up the preorder link for it! It's officially available here- shipping in October if you missed the kickstarter! I made a big special video about it on Instagram that took me WAY too long and it's still a little broken but I'm generally very pleased with my hard work UoU.

Around the corner is RAZ Riso Art & Zine Fest, which I helped curate and organize with Gallery Nucleus this year! It's our second annual RAZ fest and I'm super excited!! It's a one day show dedicated to Riso, with tons of local (and some out of town!!) Riso artists- all exceptionally talented and excited to share about Riso. Stop by if you're in town! Sept. 7th! I printed this new flyer for it and the first 100 people through the door get it for free! Printed in blue and aqua Riso ~~ patrons on the higher support tiers will also get this puppy!

I have a little fall tour lineup I posted earlier today- here are all the events I'll be at this fall! I'll have a few copies of Dreaming in Color at SPX in September, but I'll have the whole bunch at the first LA event at Secret Headquarters. Then I'll be at NYCC and Lightbox, then in SF for a Silver Sprocket event and then in Japan for a book launch in late November with Such, As gallery!

I recently made a birthday present for my friend Zoe. She's obsessed with her butterflies right now, so I thought I'd make her a little (big) print. It's fun to do side projects like this on the Riso that are full of love. I can't wait to do more. I'm finally getting caught up with everything and have time to play with the Riso again ^_^

Check out the roller marks on that sucker! Totally unavoidable with this kind of density and image layout, but the colors and size are WORTH IT.

I'm probably going to make another butterfly print now...but this one is special for Zoe :3

Ok that's all for now- will be back soon with an update on Nausicaa!! woo!

xoxo nat
