This month I’ve made a super hot pink demon print for the Riso Print Subscription! I printed this 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 print in three colors- blue for the line, fluorescent pink and yellow. I wanted to make a print using some of my favorite colors from the Iron Song print (September’s print) and I wanted make the centerpiece that hot pink (from the bird in that Iron Song print) with a little variation by adding some yellow.

I used photoshop, an oval textured brush, drew it in color then turned the saturation and lightness levels down for each layer. I printed the blue line all at once, then the pink and yellow together to keep the registration clean. I print at the SVA Risolab on a duo-drum ME 945OU Risograph machine. I printed these on 8 1/2 x 11 Crest Natural White 65lb. paper (I find any weight heavier a real pain in the neck) and bought it from Amazon from Neenah Paper.

How many prints do you usually print each time? Thank you!

Hi Tina! I usually print 200 of each print so I don’t have to print them again for a very long time (or ever!) reprinting is a huge butt >_
