Hello! Hope everyone is having a great week and gearing up for the holidays! I have a lot to share here, so much is happening and has been happening- I'm excited to take a break! But first- updates!!

The Moth Queen, November's Riso Subscription Print 

First, the new print for November is finished! The Moth Queen is inspired by classic fairytale book illustrations, and I tried to match a green-gold look of some of those classic illustrations. It's printed in blue, fluorescent orange and yellow. I’ll be shipping this package out with the froggy hats stickers early next week. A full breakdown on this Riso print coming soon! Subscribers who paid on November 1st will be getting this print. If you signed up during November you'll be getting the print I make in December (plus a new little sticker I've already made)!

Big Shop Update!

I have a few new pieces in the shop: the new angry comics frog, a frogs with hats sticker sheet, a calendar set with bad prints on the back and the large dragon rider print is finally up in the shop! Also new are the Acrylic Mushroom Guardian Pin, new Comic Fiends gold washi tape, large plant sticker sheet and finally I have The Nutcracker book in stock in my actual shop! I've found a way to ship it that won't damage it and other prints in the order, so I'm excited about that!

Art Market in Los Angeles!

I'll be hosting an Art Market at my studio in Atwater Village on December 4th with a few of my friends! If you're in Los Angeles stop by after the farmers market for some art treats :3 Here's the save the date- more info on who's confirmed to sell soon! Riso texture was added digitally with Arlin Ortiz's Riso texture pack! I think they're perfect for solid color digital images like this. 

Akira zine Riso poster!!

I made an Akira poster for Wren McDonald's GOOD FOR HEALTH BAD FOR EDUCATION zine that debuted at Anime NYC last weekend! I love Akira, so when Wren asked me to contribute to the zine I instantly said yes. This is a two color Riso print in scarlet red and blue. Here's a link to the zine! Wren says he'll add the zine online soon! 

Benefit for LGBTQ+ Community

Also this week I'm sending all profits from this Bedtime Story print (both large and small) to PFLAG. In light of the recent hate crime against the LGBTQ+ community in Colorado I’m giving 100% of the proceeds of this Bedtime Story print to PFLAG, which protects LGBTQ+ rights through advocacy work and community-building programs. This print is exempt from the Black Friday sale so I can send as much as I can over to PFLAG!!

Small Business Saturday at Once Upon A Time Bookstore

Also! This friday I'll be at Once Upon A Time Bookstore in Montrose / Los Angeles helping the store promote Small Business Saturday! Here's the promo for it- I'll be signing copies of The Nutcracker, have a few prints for sale and be sharing my favorite books in the store!

And, as always, if you're thinking about picking up The Nutcracker, check with your indie bookstore first! They can order it for you and maybe other customers at the bookstore can experience a bit of Nutcracker too!

I gathered a range of nice and interesting reviews of Nutcracker by the way. Wanted to share them because they really made my day! When you put two years of your life into something it's nice to see the thoughtful takes on it. I compiled a few here to help those interested get a sense of the book!
