Hello! I'm juuust getting to a happy place with this sketch for February's print. I want to do a whole series of seasonal fairy prints, similar to the Dragon prints, but with more emphasis on traditional decorative borders.

Below is my reference I've gathered for this image- I really love the fluffy, simple shapes of Hiroshi Yoshida's woodblock prints (one of my all-time favorites) and the simplicity of the snow and rocks in Herge's Tin Tin comics as well. I even have some original 101 Dalmations background art in there. We recently rewatched that movie and wow, is it gorgeous, I could draw Roger's hands and the puppies all day.

Next stop- line art (and lots of decision making still to be done for this- I actually already did the line art for it, but it's feeling stiff so I think I'll redraw it)! Catch me tomorrow on Twitch where I'll be streaming this drawing live for a bit. I'm only giving this link to patrons so feel free to stop by for some questions too. I'll try to get on around 11am PST, find me on twitch here!
