I started this piece on my desktop in Clip Studio Paint, but quickly found that I was physically unable to keep working on it there. I decided to see if drawing on my iPad was more comfortable, and even though it took me the rest of the week, I was able to get it finished! Haven't been able to play a ton of Nightreign yet (just got my laptop back from the repair center yesterday) but I like Revenant's design a lot.

In IRL news, I found out that I don't just have a muscle spasm in my neck, I have a compressed nerve from a narrowing of my spinal column where the nerves branch out to the right side of my body. That causes the pain, numbness, balance issues, vision problems, and produces the ongoing muscle spasm. They expect it's wear and tear from the posture I take while drawing/sitting at my desk, and that's also what triggers it to get continuously worse. I'll see a pain specialist in about 3 weeks, and I'm hoping I'll be able to get some relief then. Otherwise, I'll keep doing my best to make what I can.

To address any concerns -- I understand the best thing for my health would be to simply take time off. Unfortunately, I can't afford to do that financially (life, and especially all this medical work, costs money). I've promised you guys a new piece every week, and I intend to honor that and earn the support you're giving me.

I also realize that the best thing I could do financially would be to churn out basic horny drawings of whoever the current hot character is on social media instead of experimenting and trying to make something artsy and interesting, but...if I'm going to hurt myself in order to keep doing what I love, I want to at least make art that represents what I truly feel right now. And to be honest, with the ongoing health issues, I haven't been feeling particularly horny, lol.

tl;dr, thank you very much and I'll keep doing my best. 🙏

ALT TEXT

A drawing of Revenant from Elden Ring Nightreign, rendered with a pencil brush and a gauche brush. She's sitting in a field of baby blue eyes flowers, hugging herself with her knees drawn up, bare body on display, doll joints and all. Her long silvery hair falls down around her and she has a crown of blue flowers on her head. She looks at a skull on the ground next to her, blue eyes heavily lidded, lashes long, expression somber.

In the alternate version, her braids are undone and swept away so that her chest can be seen.

Wish you all the best and to take care of yourself, but understand that your financial state need to keep you drawing. Just try to find a sane pace, don't hurt yourself pushing more than you could take... It's really not a simple situation it seems. Oh, the art itself? Gorgeous :D!

Do what you gotta do. We, or at least I , won’t be upset if you need a break. You don’t need to stress yourself beyond repair.

"(...) that's also what triggers it to get continuously worse." and "I've promised you guys a new piece every week, and I intend to honor that and earn the support you're giving me." I'll be honest: It is good that you keep your promises and I enjoy seeing when a post of yours with new art pops in my mailbox, but I'm totally okay if that promise is eased out to, idk, every two weeks or something if that means you get more time to heal, do physiotherapy/pilates/yoga/etc (physio sessions plus pilates are doing wonders to all my huge list of pains - left wrist/hand RSI, lower back and f'd up knee due to overplay Pump It Up when young, I can't recommend enough) and more importantly, keep drawing in the long run. Other patrons might disagree with me but keeping the same art delivery schedule maintains the results on the short/medium term (same # art per $) but if it means your health goes down the drain and get to a point we lose your art forever, I couldn't stress more that slowing a bit the deliveries now in order to have your art for longer would be a better deal. And that's only talking on the business/patreon side. You are not only a great artist, but also are a nice guy based on your posts and what you say in twitter so, as someone who also suffer from back/leg/arm/everything pain, I totally support you on whatever you decide to help you treat and recover.

Please take care of yourself! 🙏

The art looks lovely! Take care of yourself as best you can, I'm rooting for you. I love seeing your art regardless of whether it's sexy or serious in nature.

Be sure to take care of yourself first and foremost. Nerve pain is no joke

Love this. Please take care of yourself, as always, dude. For myself, I will always wait for new art from you, no matter how long it may take.

Been loving Nightreign so this was amazing. Equally? Look after yourself my dude. If rest is needed rest more.

Amazing work but take care of yourself. I would rather have art once a month and a healthy you than get a few more weeks of art and then nothing because you have paralyzed yourself. Keep up the great work but at a reasonable pace. Much love.

Hang in there and do what you need to do
