Murciel, the Shadow Messenger (Animation, Original, NSFW) (Patreon)

I tried to put everything I've learned so far into this one, and then some! Multiple shots, camera movement, some effects work, foley/sound effects, background music, and hopefully a charming character (with big tiddy). The gifs are just on this post so that there's something nice to see in your feed -- please do download the attached videos, they include the all the scenes, plus the music I made!

Her name is Murciel, and her official title is "Shadow Messenger" -- she delivers the words of her boss, the dark lord of the castle, and carries back replies. Murciel is an inkbat demon, capable of turning into a little bat blorbo and also creating small temporary objects out of ink (clothing, weapons, etc). Her fighting power is relatively low, but her wisdom/intelligence and charisma are all quite high. She's the one you send when you want to end things without a fight, and she also tends to offer words of advice to the dark lord. My plan is for her to speak with a thick, stereotypical Eastern European accent ("blah, I vant to suck your blood," etc.) and I will hopefully find a voice actress for her soon.

There's way more I've been brainstorming for her, and for the cast of characters in the dark lord's castle, but I'll wait until I have more to show first. It's easy to think of cool ideas and much harder to realize them, so I don't wanna build hype for something I might never manage to make happen.

ALT TEXT

A 30-second animation with background music and sound effects (I did all of them myself with a combo of Garageband and Audacity). The BGM is a spooky chill instrumental with a wobbly bass, smooth synth and a plinky arpeggiating piano.

We open on an exterior shot of an enormous castle amidst fog and mountains, and the camera moves up a singularly tall tower. A tiny black shape can be seen moving across the night sky toward it, silhouetted by the moon.

We zoom in to the shape, a gloopy black bat-like thing with wings dripping purple haze and a single red glowing eye, flapping away.

Now we're inside the stone tower, looking out an open window framed by lit candles. The bat-thing flies inside and glides in below frame -- a burst of pink light, purple smoke and black ink erupts, and we tilt down to find the bat has transformed into a woman. She has grey skin, goopy black hair covering one eye, black wings dripping purple haze, and pointed batlike ears. She wears a red collar with a scroll attached to it, black bridal gloves and stirrup thigh-highs, and a cross-laced corset leotard (in the alternate version, she wears nothing on her body).

"Milord." she says. "Your humble servant has returned."
