1) the direction of the trial was heavily inspired by Brian de palma. Filled with with split screens, zooms, and split diopters 2) they released this version of the ballad with a Korean singer and it’s so good, I can’t stop listening. The bridge in particular is everything. 3) Agatha saying Rio doesn’t have any scares because they are lesbians and she’s seen her whole body. 4) in the booth Rio said that magic takes the path of least resistance and ferries the most suitable candidate down or up, so I don’t think Agatha purposefully sacrificed her son and she was hoping for someone else to go, but Rio was forced to take Nicholas. 5) so excited for episode 5. It was bonkers (good).

4:00 - When Agatha states "Coven Two" as the correct lyrics...she's correct. She wrote it with her son.

6:10 - When Lillia makes her request as part of the spell...she literally got exactly what she wanted. The best at her craft..."THEE Green Witch" as stated by Rio.

Rio knows exactly what's going on. She knows exactly what this road is, how fake it is, how it's a manifestation. She's acting like she's amused by the audacity of it. As much as she's amused by experiencing something new.

17:30 - She feels lighter because her whole coven is bearing her curse with her.

Aubrey Plaza is stealing the show in every scene with little things. The tapping of the symbol was so funny.

I feel like the 2nd version of the song being remixed into the show works really well. One of the few missed themes in this show is the use of Music as a medium of spell-casting. I love when music is used as the medium of spell-casting. Also the song is super super fun to harmonize to when I sing it outloud. Seeing their intent visually intensify after the Oni appears was so inspiring.

"Don't. Don't". Oh my god! She was loooking at Rio when she said that. She was having flashbacks of when Rio came to her to take her stillborn infant. Him dying reminded her of her own son dying. That's why she freaked out so fiercely. That's a trauma she never has been able to fully deal with.

Agatha and Rio's feelings are so complicated. Its not fair to Rio either. Agatha had no right to beg her for such a favor...then resent her for having to do her job.
