Hey friendos! 🇯🇵

I am officially back from Japan! I have turned into a human sushi roll and avoided the Yukuza but now it is straight back to reality. This upcoming weekend I will be moving into my new apartment, and from there I have to get internet set up and get a recording space put together, which realistically is going to take a week or two before everything is fully up and running.

I want to be upfront with you all about where things stand because yall deserve that. I know I am behind on requests. I am very behind lol. I am not going to sit here and make excuses because at the end of the day that does not get anyone's requests done any faster so what I am going to do is tell you exactly what the plan is moving forward. 🏃

I have several videos that I recorded before I left for Japan, so starting with those, we are going back to the sync up format for the movies, but will continue with the current way for our shows. The reason I am making this call is because it is the only realistic way I am going to be able to get caught up on everyone's requests and get back to consistent weekly releases instead of these long gaps between posts. Yall don’t like the delays and neither do I.

And I want to be really candid with you all about something. The reason I switched to showing footage in the first place was because I genuinely thought it would bring in more Patrons and build the community and it has actually had the opposite effect 💀 On top of that, what I thought would be easier to produce ended up taking significantly longer to edit than I anticipated. The sync ups are literally recording the movie, editing the intro and the outro, blur, timer, render, bam. Whereas the way we have been doing takes hours to go through and adjust the volume, remove audio pops, and quadruples the render times. Plus, the file sizes are massive and Patreon only allows each creator a limited amount of upload space.

When you factor in having a full-time job, a cross country move, and then turning around and going to Japan, there has been absolutely zero margin for me to keep up with everything. I have been inconsistent on YouTube, I have been inconsistent here on Patreon, and on top of all of that, I have had virtually no social life or any real time to myself. I have a list of movies I genuinely want to sit down and watch and share with you guys and I have not been able to get to any of them because I am so far behind. I am doing a disservice to myself and I am doing a disservice to all of you, and I refuse to keep letting that continue. Going back to the sync up format is what has worked for us. It worked for years. I am not saying we will never try something different again down the road, but I have to be honest with myself about what I can actually manage on a weekly basis without burning completely out. The burnout is real and it has gotten to a point where it is affecting everything.

I want to actually connect with this community again, with my subscribers on the channel, and with all of you, and I have not been able to do that because I have just been completely buried. Starting tomorrow I will be working on getting the full length sync up reactions rendered and will start releasing those throughout the rest of the week while I get to work on editing the next video for the channel. I know this news is not going to sit well with everyone and I completely understand that, but at the end of the day I have to put my sanity first.
