I know that Interview with a vampire novel was the one in Louis's pov. All the rest are in Lestat's pov. I only read the first two but The vampire Lestat was an amazing book.

I really enjoyed watching this one, I can't wait to see how you feel about Claudia as she gets older! She was actually five and a white, blonde haired girl in the book, so to movie looks wise is more accurate, but tbh I love Bailey's Claudia more. I wish I could insert pictures here, because I've mapped out all the important places and it would make it easier to answer your question about the fire. But basically, Lestat and Louis live in the french quarter, literally one block away from bourbon st. St. Augustine, the church that Louis and Paul walked to every morning, is five blocks north of their townhouse, so we can assume Louis' family house is probably close around there.maybe a bit more north. Storyville/The Azalea is about a mile west of their townhouse, and the fires were contained on that street, since they were targeting the mostly black area.

I don't see anyone commenting about it, but pretty sure Claudia is supposed to be 14 when she was turned. She's saying 18 because she's still counting the mental birthdays 😂 Edit: jk you googled it lmao

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure it was just so she could have more to do as Claudia. I think she is like 5 in the book so it's probably easier to watch a 14 year old have adult character arcs/easier to have an believable older actor lol Update I googled it and it's also bc they wanted Claudia to have more screentime and Bailey Bass was 18 filming so they didn't have to comply with child labor laws/have less hours to film with her
