We are heading back to the late 80's with one of the most bizarre, hilarious "what is this, honey" movies I've watched yet!

We are diving into WAXWORK!

HOW DOTH THIS WORKETH?

You will have your own copy, or access to, this film. If you choose to sync up, I will do a countdown, and we will both hit play, this way you can watch along with me.

This is a full video of ME, this does NOT contain the actual movie/episode. I'm not trying to go to jail. :D

The director of this movie, Anthony Hickox, said that he handled disagreements with the Producer by making his brother dress in tight cut-off shorts to distract him. He had a suspicion the Producer had a crush on Anthony's brother, so whenever he couldn't get his way, the brother would come on set in something sexy and things went more smoothly after that.

Lots of horror crossover here: Michelle Johnson (China) can also be seen in Death Becomes Her, Dr. Giggles, and Tales from the Crypt: Season 3. Dana Ashbrook (the guy in the Werewolf display) is also in Girlfriend from Hell, Sundown the Vampire in Retreat (1989, also starring Bruce Campbell), and The Return of the Living Dead 2. Deborah Foreman is also in Sundown the Vampire in Retreat, as well as April Fools Day (1986), Grizzly II, and Destroyer. Patrick Macnee was also in The Howling and a slasher film, Sweet Sixteen (1983) which stars Dana Kimmell from Friday the 13th Part 3. Jack David Walker who stars as the "Lurch" looking butler looked familiar to me but he had smaller roles in The Guardian (1990, directed by "The Exorcist" director, William Friedkin) and Mac and Me. And, of course, David Warner had a lot of parts he's not as well remembered for. Including: John Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness *and* Body Bags (1993) 1987's goofball sex comedy My Best Friend is a Vampire 1995's Ice Cream Man (where Clint Howard played the killer, and you saw him recently in Terrifier 3) 1991's Cast a Deadly Spell (starring Fred Ward from Tremors) another classic werewolf movie no one has heard of- The Company of Wolves (1984 directed by "Interview with the Vampire" director, Neil Jordan) The Omen (of course) the 1973 anthology horror film From Beyond the Grave (from Amicus studios, a British horror studio) 1979's Time After Time where he plays Jack the Ripper (and Shut Up James is reacting to that in April, I've requested it) and him and Zach Galligan did another movie together, a 1989 erotic thriller called Mortal Passions- co starring Michael Bowen was starred in Valley Girl in 1983 alongside Deborah Foreman again... small world.

Oh... By the way: that scene in the parlor where the teens are sitting down, China says "Can't a girl get laid without being burnt at the stake?" and Zach Galligan replies, "Anybody got a match?" ...that was a dig at her. Get it: "Burnt at the stake" / "Got a match?"
