This movie still confuses me to this day but it is so mind bending and mind melting and mine altering. All the minds. This is one of the movies that I had to wait a few days and watch it again to see if I caught anything that never clicked during my first watch. Most times I can watch something back-to-back to see what I missed but this one I definitely had a way to few days and as I said I still get confused about some parts of it but it's an amazing movie and I'm okay with that. There are a lot of theories online which I've read and some help while others definitely don't.

We absolutly love Satoshi Kon works. Perfect Blue was a real shock at the time of its release. And we loved it immediatly. But now years later we enjoy more Tokyo Godfathers or Paprika, de pures Chef-d'oeuvres. Cant' wait to see your reaction and revisit it with you. Kiss Kiss from France.

How the hell have I never heard of this?! Will definitely check this out!

Yeah, I did spend some time online trying to understand it a bit more. It does seem that there are a ton of things intentionally left vague, so I sort of just pieced my own narrative together.

Oooo I will have to look into those others! Thanks for the recommendations gentlemen!

If it wasn't for Ms Yutaka, I hadn't either!

Great reaction, I love this movie! One thing I want to mention is the notion of Pop Idols. When they say Idols in Japan they don't mean a Beyonce or like a Rihanna (a super famous pop music singer). Idols is a sub-genre in the music industry in Japan. It's mostly young girls that are starting their careers and the focus is on their image and personality. There's also a level of parasocial relationship that it tends to cultivate with their fans. They'll have events where you get to shake their hands and stuff like that. So the crowd at the beginning of the movie makes sense. CHAM have being going for two and a half year and they've now got a dedicated fanbase but they're not really huge outside of that sub-culture.

Oh thats actually really interesting! Thank you for sharing that! I had no idea why they kept saying that, but ya learn something new every day!
