"A group of queer best friends gather in the Fire Island Pines for their annual week of love and laughter, but when a sudden change of events jeopardizes their summer in gay paradise, their bonds as a chosen family are pushed to the limit."

It's Pride Month which means it's time to celebrate by watching the gays bicker and argue!

HOW DOTH THIS WORKETH?

You will have your own copy, or access to, this film. If you choose to sync up, I will do a countdown, and we will both hit play, this way you can watch along with me.

I don't know if you have found out since you watched it, but Fire Island is a satire of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Noah is Elizabeth and Will is Mr. Darcy. Hence the drama, the classism, and the enemies to lovers trope. You noticed the Clueless reference; and I don't know if its actually true, but Clueless is supposed to be a satire of Emma by Jane Austen It's gonna be so weird and funny if you end up liking Bros and not Fire Island. I couldn't even finish Bros. I saw Fire Island 3 times the weekend it came out. Love it!

I've never seen nor read any Pride and Prejudice movies/adaptations. We shall see what I think of Bros. Neither of the films really called out to me initially, so who knows!

If you haven't seen it I suggest 4th Man Out. The movie takes place in the weeks leading up to the 4th of July. It's about a guy who comes out to his friends. His friends try to change to make him feel comfortable but at the same time show him that nothing has changed.

I enjoyed that more than expected. I can't say it was a great movie, but it wasn't as cringey as I anticipated.
