"A meek Hobbit from the Shire and eight companions set out on a journey to destroy the powerful One Ring and save Middle-earth from the Dark Lord Sauron."

I really want to know how they managed to travel so far, through mountains...snow...forests...with NO SHOES ON...?!

HOW DOTH THIS WORKETH?

You will have your own copy, or access to, this film. If you choose to sync up, I will do a countdown, and we will both hit play, this way you can watch along with me.

I know what I'm watching this evening!

I can re-watch this trilogy anytime. I understand what you mean about dialogue and character development. The dialogue isn't like normal speech. It is more prosaic. I had never read any of the books. Everything feels so much more complete after the 3rd movie. Tolkien's stories contain so much lore and you have to be Tolkien stan to know everything.

That was a grand ole time! This is one of my very favorite film franchises. I hope you continue and even watch The Hobbit films!! Though a lot say they dislike them I myself love The Hobbit movies. 💙💙💙 To answer some of the things you brought up (no spoilers): Think of hobbit feet like other people wearing shoes. They're very tough. Eragon is a movie about a dragon but is in not related to LOtRs. Arwen's necklace is a token of her love. And the Hobbits are like children that's why they are always making mistakes. The reason Gandalf had trouble remembering was it had been so long since he had last been there. The three movies are all about Frodo's trip to Mordor basically. And my family and I had always gotten moved by Boromir's death because he was protecting the "little ones". He had gotten really close to Merry and Pippin. The Two Towers is my favorite in the series and is very dark. Think of the colors of the wizards (gray and white in this case) like levels. Saruman the white is much stronger then Gandalf the gray. I hope some of this helps. There is so much to the history and lore of these movies that one could talk forever and still not explain it all.

I'm a lotr nerd so i was lmao the whole time at all your questions and actually answering them 🤣 and yes you should def continue they get more actiony and straightforward.

V Kurious

I came here to give some answers but you've done a great job already! I'll add here nerd of the rings youtube channel is great for understanding the lore.

Curious what your thoughts on The Hobbit trilogy. I liked it personally. In some ways even like it better than the LotR movies.

V Kurious

Ok so I love them lol but I'm just happy to be in middle earth even in the rings of power and I'm ok being ostracized from the "fandom" 🤓 the thing is that with the og lotr that shooting schedule and massive production with real sets and costumes (i'm sure you're the type to have watched the appendices) wasnt typical especially for the genre. So when they did hobbit and all that cgi and Jackson stepping in for del torro and delays there were some goofy issues but I don't care they're fun and I love a hot hobbit/elf romance!

YEAHHHH I sorta had a feeling that watching the trilogy as a whole would probably make the dialogue and the way the characters interact and behave with one another more....logical? Maybe I am not describing it correctly, who knows, lol

nicksaysboo

IT TAKES HIM THREE MOVIES TO GET THERE?! also thank you for explaining the feet thing, that was throwing me lolol

nicksaysboo

Thats how I feel when I am reacting and asking the camera questions as if it's going to answer them in real time.

River Crestfallen

There is some hot dwarf men in The Hobbit movies. 👀 And I forgot all about The Rings of Power! Nick has a lot to watch. Hehe.

I love this movie, but you had me laughing almost non stop. "Who's throwing arrows?!" Not shooting, not firing. Throwing. I laughed so hard. As for how long it takes Frodo to get to Mordor... how long would it take you to walk 1,800 miles while constantly fearing for your life, slowly losing your sanity to this evil thing around your neck, and getting lost? You only have to wait a handful of hours to watch it, but it actually takes about six months. I'm glad you liked it though and I hope you continue and watch all three. I'm a hardcore fan, and normally I would ONLY recommend the extended versions, but in your case, the theatrical releases are fine. The extended cuts really just flesh out stuff from the books. There's only one extended scene from Return of the King that I think was essential and shouldn't have been cut. Spoiler warning: it involves a character called The Mouth of Sauron if you want to look it up later.
