"When the infamous "Sweet Sixteen Killer" returns 35 years after his first murder spree to claim another victim, 17-year-old Jamie accidentally travels back in time to 1987, determined to stop the killer before he can start."

We are headed back to the 80's to rage at a rad house party, have a totally quaint get-a-way with friends, and also avoid being stabbed 16 times by a serial killer.

HOW DOTH THIS WORKETH?You will have your own copy, or access to, this film. If you choose to sync up, I will do a countdown, and we will both hit play, this way you can watch along with me.*This is a full video of ME, this does NOT contain the actual movie.*

I started watching the Horror Bandwagon react to this, but had to stop because I was hoping you would react. Can't wait to watch when I get off work.

I did the watch along with Yutaka. I really enjoyed this movie. Now, let's talk about this look. It's awakening feelings, but I can't identify what these feelings are.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was a lot of fun as long as you're willing to turn off your brain and just let it happen. To answer two of your questions- 1) Kiernan Shipka has been in a lot of things aside from Sabrina. She was first known for playing Don Draper's (Jon Hamm's character) daughter in Mad Men when she was really young. She was very impressive in that role. I like her, but I didn't like her in Sabrina and gave up on it just like you did. 2) Reaganomics was Ronald Reagan's economic policy in the 1980's- basically trickle down economics where the wealth is supposed to, in theory, trickle down to the middle and lower classes when you lower taxes and regulations for the super wealthy. {Personal opinion alert} It didn't work and only served to increase the wealth gap in America. Anyway, that's what their test in economics was going to be on. Also the look for this video is 👍👍.

Damn, you brought me to SCHOOL. Thank you, that is actually quite helpful! And I actually want to get into Mad Men. Would you say its reaction worthy?

Well, I am a teacher so... (yeah, I know, I'm nuts- hanging on to my sanity by my fingernails for the next couple years so I can get the good pension). I personally really liked Mad Men. I would definitely do a rewatch with you, but it's up to you if you think the show would have enough interest overall. I watched it when it was originally airing on TV, so it's been a minute but I remember looking forward to it each week. All the characters are varying shades of awful, so if you can deal with that... It's kind of like Succession that way. Succession is fantastic BTW if you haven't watched that before. I cannot recommend it highly enough. 4 seasons of perfection. Currently my #2 all time favorite show- after my forever #1 Hannibal, which is how I found you 😁. You quickly became my favorite Hannibal reactor and then my favorite reactor overall. Thanks for all you do!

I’m super happy you watched this one!! I love the movie!! I’ve watched this movie for 6 or 7 times now, and it’s so good!!🥰

Natalie

To answer your question. The school’s mascot in 1987 was a racist caricature of a Native American. Hence the name “Red Devils”. In 2023 their school mascot is more appropriately an actual red devil. That’s why she said, “there’s the racism”

It took longer to get to this than I wished, but I finally watched it. I really loved the aesthetic. the story was good, but I find irritating teenagers....tiresome. I will say that I kinda figured that guy was the killer, though I'd never have been able to figure out the motive, because they barely mentioned Pam, and I might need to watch the movie again to see if I missed something that would indicate the 16 stabs. Like, what exactly happened at the party, and what did 16 have to do with it. I liked that it had the twist with the other guy at the end, but his motive was dumb, but his red mist moment made me laugh, and I'm glad that Pam's brother was able to become a success. I think this represented the 80's pretty well, and definitely highlighted how different things are today. Let's just say as the daughter of smokers, I know the feeling well of being in a car full of smoke, riding in the back seat not wearing a seatbelt and playing the game where you pretend the headlights of the car behind you is a monster and you keep popping up and looking out the back seat out the window, get scared and duck back down. The 80's were a dangerous time, and thats not to mention the fashion. lol.
