Time for the weekly update. Some day perhaps, we'll stop being surprised by how quickly these things come around again. It is not today. This dispatch is coming to you from the R&D wing of 65LABS, the site of most of this week's activity/failures/confusion.
THIS WEEK
- Tomorrowd is released! We got some really nice reactions to this. Thanks a lot. Enjoyed pulling it all together. With this in our portfolio those cool film soundtrack projects are surely gonna come rolling in any second now...
- We rushed out a new song in order to try and to raise a bit of cash for the charity Medical Aid for Palestine. It's called ASYMMETRY and is available to listen to and pay-what-you-feel for HERE. The footage coming out of Gaza of air strikes and decimation is horrific. Nobody really needs us adding our blunt political analysis to our social media channels, but at a loss of anything else to do, we thought this might be a practical way of helping. For the first 24hrs we're matching all sales. If you've already picked this up, thank you so much.
- 65LABS workwear was shipped and is starting to arrive! Thank you for your patience. There is, inexplicably, one box that delivery companies keep promising to deliver, before decidedly not delivering it. Apologies to the unlucky few who will experience a delay over this. Next time we'll take steps to make sure this doesn't happen.
- We did a little more work on Release #3. It has been in progress since some point last year, but haven't looked at it recently as our time was taken up with Tomorrowd and the Wreckage Systems stream. It is starting to shaping up though. Has a different tone from both Under the Summs and Tomorrowd.
- Aside from that, we were working on the stream, heading toward V2. We had a couple of setbacks this week, both based on a classic 65 scenario: pushing software to do things it isn't quite designed to do until it breaks. We are nothing if not a reliable edge case...
NEXT WEEK

- We made a start on writing a more tech-heavy explanation of how Wreckage Systems actually works, triggered by those setbacks mentioned above, as well as ongoing conversations and experiments on what we want out of V2, and how much we are willing/able to change the core of the project to get there. This might not get published next week, but it is in progress!
- The actual work on V2 will continue too. This means it is unlikely to result in any new music or systems getting added to the current V1 the stream in the coming week. In the meantime, to keep your ears entertained, attached is a short excerpt from an experimental Detext/Papour hybrid system. A perfect soundtrack for sitting quietly in a dark room on a Friday night.
That's it for now. Maybe see you in the Discord...
