Hi, friends. This is a 'show, don't tell' kind of update. It is shorter than usual, as we are currently trying to get computers a thousand miles apart reliably in sync but the hadron collider at 65LABS East is playing up and screwing with mainland Europe's perception of time. It's not going well.
THIS WEEK
• The time has come. We let loose some V2 systems. They're now roaming free in the non-linear fields of eternal radio static, out in the unclaimed dust territories around the back of 65LABS. Our frequency salvagers are turned up to the max in an effort to tune into these wild new systems, and we are streaming their findings to youtube.
• This test stream has been up and running for a few days without fault, so we decided that it is safe to share. The receivers can only hold on to any one system for a short time, and the transmissions are often confused. But still. It's working. The meta-system appears to be stable.
• See for yourself >>> https://youtu.be/wCSqIBF2dCg
• This link is not for sharing please. Inner-circle Patreon technicians only. This is the raw feed, not ready for prime time. It will be running over the weekend, unless things go wrong, but after that it will be subject to frequent interruptions and updates. Now that we have the framework sorted, we can finally start to concentrate on working up many more new systems to use the new possibilities.
• To reiterate: don't be disheartened if this sounds a lot like the old stream at the moment. It is still very early days and so far, the major improvements are mostly hidden. We had planned a more exciting reveal, giving you a bit of back story on the new systems and so on. But our computers had other plans. Nevertheless, being able to share this test stream with you all is an important stepping stone that hopefully means we are moving into a new phase of development of V2, where we are able to start being more transparent as we make progress.
• You are now all participants in the V2 closed beta testing. Congratulations. There is no escape.
NEXT WEEK
• Either we will start to make more visible progress on V2 and update the stream, or the computers woes currently sending us tumbling toward oblivion will succeed and we will close this whole thing down and sit in a dark room for the rest of the year.
