WE ARE ON TOUR. Actual shows. Coasting through the pandemic with dread, caution and unruly sub bass. There’s a skeleton crew at 65LABS keeping the furnaces running, the server farms watered and the glitches blooming, but much like the journalist pools that travel everywhere with idiot politicans, the 65LABS Comms team is out on the road with the noise team. Propagandising, data harvesting, hydrating; delivering the weekly 65LABS devblog unto your eyes.

THIS WEEK

- The V1 Archive Beta Testing is underway. A hearty thanks to the testers. So far the macOS version is working ok, the Windows version literally won’t boot at all, and the Linux version sort of works, but has some bugs. Probably none of you are interested in knowing that, but it is valuable information to the code technicians here at 65LABS and so we are dutifully reporting it to you in lieu of more interesting developments. We’ll get back to this once the shows are over. Unclear at this point how major these bugs will turn out to be.

- We published an interview earlier in the week with Paul from 65days/65LABS that was done a little earlier this year with Superlevel.de. The original interview was published in German but we got permission to republish the original English Q&A here for anybody interested. It isn’t exclusively about Wreckage Systems, but gives a pretty good overview of the history and thinking of 65days that led us to this point. That’s HERE if you missed it.

- Last night we played LONDON, Plague Island's Capital of Legit Finance. It went… well? Thanks to everybody who made it despite the pandemic. Apologies to everybody who for one reason or another could not make these rescheduled shows. We fully appreciate that it is no small thing to step out into the world and navigate its underfunded public infrastructure in these strange times. Hopefully by the time we are out on tour again, life will feel a little less precarious. (ha…)

- Tonight we are in MANCHESTER, Plague Island's Capital of Dubiously Funded Football Clubs. It is sold out, but we will be retweeting anybody who tags us saying they have spare tickets. So keep an eye on our Twitter if you’re on the look out. Tomorrow is EDINBURGH, Plague Island's Capital of Castle-based Tourism, and as far as we understand it there are still some tickets for that show, if you are in the vicinity. As mentioned LAST WEEK, we have some new merch on sale which will be appearing on our Bandcamp store once we are back from these shows. And remember ‘merchbot3000’ is the magic patreon code that will get you 20% off anything that is being sold there.

THINGS TO COME

- Less vague devblogs will resume once we are back off the road.

- More Wreckage Systems in the V2 stream? Stranger things have happened.

That’s it for now. Maybe see you at the shows, or the Discord. If not, see you here next week. Take care friends.
