No Josh, Trenta Percenta is not 30% in German xD Also Peter O'hanra 'ohanrahan is such a dumb name. He's a repeating bit during the series and is always a laugh. Really good episode. That was indeed meant to be Nirvana, the chorus was basically Smell Like Teen Spirit pitched down.

Nathan

I think you missed the guy getting punched in the face in the background @ 2:26 hahah

S P

was that Peter O'Hanrahanranaran getting punched?

Charlie

Rok TV was an incredibly accurate satire of nineties music programming in Europe. Great episode all round really, Alan Partridge at the races is probably one of his most famous TDT bits, perhaps second to the World Cup preview later on in the series.

Charlie

Funny to think this only aired a couple of months before Cobain died.

Saul

Chris Morris is unironically brilliant at musical pastiches. The Nirvana parody is perfect, Fur Q is just like LL Cool J crossed with the g-funk rappers, and in Brass Eye he does a flawless Eminem parody. I seem to remember another musical parody from Brass Eye, of Bowie or someone similarly androgynous. TDT isn't as good as Brass Eye, but it has some very funny moments.

Inside Number 9 started its final series tonight (series 9 fittingly enough) once its finished be great if you could pop it back on the poll and round off that fantastic show!

Charlie

The Bowie-like one would perhaps be Rye Spangle, performer of “Playground Bangaround” in Paedogeddon.

Saul

That was it. Marc Bolan I think it was meant to be.

There's a couple of hundred words you can change in English, eg endings with ent/ant that you add an "e" on the end of to change it to Spanish. Also it's "active vocabulary", so words you use everyday. Even though German sounds very different, the way we put our sentences together are almost identical (the syntax), unlike Spain where it's different... We say "give me a cold beer", they say "give me a beer cold" Also English is the only one to drop grammatically gendered nouns too (masculine/feminine) ;)

mrtheevilmage

first episode was pretty good, like a depressing 1970s sci-fi

"He was grateful / I shot his painful / motherf*ckin' pig was an Uzi Loverrrr"...

Nell Sun

He did a good parody of Pulp in 'Blouse's song of love to Myra Hindly. A Jarvis-esque '90s 'new-man'.
