Jake Francis

Thanks Josh. Reminder - Next week is Christmas Special 'Satan's Chimney'

Kieran B

Thought you might have recognised the second Holly from Red Dwarf, she was playing the magician with the bananas.

Manly Stump

I'm sure last week you actually said "Jonathan Creek", but now you're back to "Jonathan's"! I wonder if you'll get the hang of it before the series ends!

Kieran B

The boxer was played by the son of the ‘no, no, no, yes’ chap (Jim) in Vicar of Dibley - he’s also the brother of Mental Mickey in Only Fools

Kieran B

Yeah armed police are automatically suspended if they fire their weapon here and then there’s a very thorough investigation

Ash Jeffries

This is another one like The Omega Man that is comparatively easy to work out I think. I guessed the rain / flooding of the basement would be the reason Geiger managed to "climb" the steps, and then the note with all the ink vanished confirmed it for me. It's weird that we get these very straightforward scenarios occasionally when every other episode is the opposite - the stories are so convoluted, no one could truly work them out, but that's part of the fun! Next episode is Satan's Chimney which is a favourite of mine.

MJ87

he's also married to Katherine Parkinson, Jen from IT Crowd, so lots of comedy family connections.

Kieran B

Absolutely, you can do less then 6 degrees of separation with so many British actors and comedians like that

Danny

I remember solving this one on first watch, not all of it, but how the body came up the stairs.

Cedric Bombs

Oh hey, Holly from Red Dwarf!

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

The image of Geiger's body on the top of the stairs when they opened the door was terrifying to me when I first watched this. It still pops in my head occasionally. This was the only one my brother and I were able to work out when we younger, we were so proud of ourselves :D Looking forward to the next one. Thanks Josh.

Balkyne

Think you'll find that Raaaay Bloody Purchase also

Kieran B

Absolutely, I’d forgot he’d seen Toast

Dextrous (Lewis)

Out of all the episodes I watched as a kid I think this is the one that was burned into my memory the most! Probably because of how creepy it was and how simple but elegant the solution was

Jake Francis

I place a bet with myself before hitting play on every episode to see what we're getting this week lol.

Angel

I think he got it right for Ghost's Forge, because the first time he said "Jonathan's" it reminded me of that title so I was half looking for it. And then right after that, I ended up watching a bunch of reactions to the obligatory same-day-repeating episode of a scifi show, and three different reaction people drew a comparison to "Groundhog's Day" … and that made me wonder if the extra 's is some kind of dialect thing or something.

(Just) Steve

“He called me stupid too” 🤣

AfterWorkReactions

That scene was very creepy. LOL this was a challenging one for sure so I bet.

Ant Morrow

Cameo by Ray Purchase
