Yeah Josh 'x' is a kiss, it's often just used as a friendly, innocent sign off and doesn't necessarily indicate any romantic interest, it's something you'd put on the end of messages to family, friends, people you're friendly with. But it's not something you'd put on a formal works document for your boss :D

Until I started watching more American reaction channels, I didn’t realise that is a thing that isn’t normal outside the UK. Tons of people will put x at the end when messaging me about something I’m selling on marketplace. It’s just a way of them being friendly rather than appearing too matter of fact. I didn’t think of it as weird until I heard reactions to it (from the US especially).

I didn't realise either until quite recently. Yeah I have a few people I buy from on ebay who often send a message to let me know my parcel has been sent out and I reply to thank them and we always put a kiss at the end of our messages too, it feels more friendly than the message just ending abruptly x :D

I feel like some of the jokes about Fanny don’t hit as well to someone watching from the US. In the US fanny means butt, whereas here fanny is a slang term for the vagina. So when the captain said “I know fanny better than anyone” it’s really funny considering he is gay.
