Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

This episode was so wild and really cracked me up. I was so lucky I didn't take a mouth full of my drink at the beginning . Right when I was about to take a drink the sex scene popped up and I lost it . I would love to see the outtakes for that scene if they exist . I can only imagine how many takes there were to finish that scene lol. When he was talking to the second girl in the audience and started acting like a weirdo I cracked up . The dude it out of control , it was uncomfortable and hilarious . Dude the good AIDs bad AIDS scene was crazy lol. Overall fantastic episode. Its wild that I didn't realize the lady I recognized from IT Amelia Bullmore was in I'm Alan Partridge until you all told me . I am usually pretty decent at recognizing faces . Terrible with names lol but decent with faces. I guess the accent and blonde hair threw me off lol.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

Amelia Bulmore (aka Sonja from I'm Alan Partridge) was in a couple of scenes.

Manly Stump

You say it blows your mind the show only had 6 episodes... wait till the last episode, you'll understand why it got cancelled!

Joe Gardiner

Great reaction, Josh! So glad you're enjoying the series :) Little tip ahead of next week (no spoilers!) but look up Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire Ripper to get the most from one of the series' best bits, imo.

Alex P

"He has thrust aside the curtain and proclaimed - admitted - politics is just spewing jism in public. But y'know, do we listen? No, we just weep like teased vaginas."

Violet Linnington

That poor senator :( he has a disease. A wanking disease.

Jay

So weird how it was brilliantly hilarious throughout until the last few minutes, where it just lost it completely. Still a brilliant episode though.

Steve King

Hey Josh, just wondering what you think of the American scenes in terms of authenticity (i,e accents and faux ntsc video quality) because as a young British guy watching it when it was aired it summed up exactly was US TV ported over here was like

Saul

There are three or four moments in this season that could've ended his career there and then. The scene with the girl...I sort of needed Josh laughing over it because otherwise I'd just have been sat there in horror, trying not to look away. It's like he's sliding the jokes right under your skin, right inside you, and they're operating in a way that you haven't given permission for.

The even more depressing version of Band Aid.

Saul

Interesting that the naval spokesman Sir Hugh Maharggs shares Karl's beliefs about homosexuals and their proclivity for getting up late.

Agreed, or just change Peter Sutcliffe for Charles Manson in your mind before watching ;)

David Lyons

Claire Rayner (the old lady) is a newspaper agony aunt, which makes it all the more funnier that she fell for the - not very subtle - sexual references! That was like a conversation between Tim and Gareth from The Office but for real!

Tom French

Really enjoyed your last couple of uploads. A few recommendations, as you liked Airplane I’m certain you’ll enjoy A Touch of Cloth. It’s the same kind of humour but a British version and more recent. Also, as much as I love Brass Eye, I think The Day Today is even funnier. It’s almost the same format with Chris Morris as the main actor but features more others, including a young Alan Partridge. Would love to see you react to either of these. Lastly, it would be difficult to do a reaction video as there’s not much footage out there but a lot of audio, I think you’d really like Peter Cook and Dudley Moore’s content. Chris Morris has worked with Peter Cook and you can see his influence in some of his work. Peter Cook died some years ago now but he really is a legend of British comedy. Hope you’re happy, safe and healthy 👍

Probably my favourite episode from this show. Brilliant series. Check out day today also which I’m sure came before brasseye

Awesome bud thanks for all the recommendations I will for sure add those to my list. I just added a Tough of Cloth, someone else said if I liked Airplane then I would enjoy it.

Teddy Alison

This is so wacky. I believe it has seven episodes I think actually. 6 in one season and then a special

Charlie

One of my favourite episodes of Brass Eye, even if it falls off a bit in the last few minutes. Ever since I noticed it I've thought it was funny that the music playing during Mervyn Bruge's submarine drills is "The Things We Do For Love" by 10cc. Also, my attention was recently drawn to how outside the Ministry of Defence there's what could be a very subtle reference to the Ministry of Silly Walks, when Libby Shuss does a little skip.

Saul

FYI: the Good AIDS, Bad AIDS bit is a critique of the British right wing media and the way they would portray AIDS sufferers differently depending on how they contracted it: gays and junkies? they've got bad AIDS, contracted from their filthy deviant lifestyle, and therefore they deserve it, and will be referred to as though they're subhuman scum. People who accidentally contracted it from blood donations? they've got good AIDS and are therefore worthy of sympathy and charity, and will be portrayed completely differently.

Oh ok thanks for clearing that up man. They have similar ads here in regards to aids. Not in a long time but I can remember seeing ads targeting certain people.

Jon Johnson

I can't believe this was on Channel 4 - they are so 'woke' now they wouldn't know comedy if bit them on the arse. In fact, if this had been broadcast on any other channel they'd be campaigning for that channel to be taken off air decades later.

James Aston

Very late to the party here but you mentioned DARE being the reference point in the previous episode about Drugs, the UK took a lot of cues from America in the war against drugs in the mid 90s when Tony Blair was Prime Minister of the UK and you are absolutely right, they looked across the pond for possible solutions at the time, and they were reported here as fact in the 90s as possible ways to stop kids from smacking up. Nonsense it turned out to be, but prime pickings for the likes of our boy Chris Morris to make fun of :D

Chris Morris is an extremely left-wing guy. He's as 'woke' as they come. Most of the targets in Brass Eye are the moronic British conservative media and the reactionary middle-class. Careful with the anti-woke pigeon-holing.

Matgo Styles

The married couple in the audience you recognised are the racist hotel guest in I'm Alan Partridge S1 and Alan's Girlfriend in S2.
