Michael Harrop

Oh my christ love me some Gavin and Stacey!! Kind of like The Office and Extras Josh this is a show that gets you on an emotional level with the characters as well as being funny.

Stu 79

Hi Josh I'm not able to vote for some reason lol will you please count me as a vote for me bean, thanks bud

Stu 79

What won

Stu 79

I can't seem to vote lol

Teddy Alison

Says the poll has ended Josh? Also, I’m not sure if you have seen my previous comment? I don’t know if there is a glitch with the votes, last night after I voted come fly with me was around 340 votes however I checked this morning and it was on like 280. I don’t know what’s happened and why 60 votes disappeared?

Michael Harrop

Now I'm confused if the poll is still going what is in today's slot? I got excited I thought we were getting Gavin & Stacey 🤦‍♂️

OutlawStar

I think it's just ended early by mistake, maybe he set it to end on the wrong date by accident. Got excited for Gavin and Stacey aswell, he will prob start the poll again after this

Teddy Alison
>>56582372

I have no idea what is going on 😂 I got excited cause last night I thought it was Come Fly with me, this morning it’s Gavin and Stacy (haven’t really seen it tbh) and now the poll is back up 😂

Sam P

Eugh, really hope it's not Come Fly With Me. It's utter shite and no one thought it was funny at the time, so I find it bizarre so many people champion it now.

OutlawStar
>>56582737

Same, watched it once when it aired and can't see the appeal of it to watch again

martyn dodds

can anyone remember two pints?

martyn dodds

how come that never gets recommended

OutlawStar
>>56583340

I watched it when it was on, never went back. I still sing the biscuit rap sometime tho lol

Michael Harrop

Josh so if this poll is being extended what is in today's slot?

Kieran B
>>56583354

It probably will eventually, I like it but it’s more nostalgia than quality. Listen to the Two Pints podcast now though

Alexander Bond

Looks like the top runners from last poll are all ahead again. Gavin and Stacey is the best of the frontrunners, or The Royle Family, but I think TRF is a bit too slow and laconic for a reactions video series. Obviously, now that we've seen the shows that almost everyone agrees are great, it's going to be a lot more split, things like Mr Bean where some love it and some loathe it.

Chris

Gavin and Stacey is very good but will keep saying that it's a travesty Spaced is going to get overlooked. No Spaced and there was is no Shaun of The Dead or Hot Fuzz. Both of them are deeply rooted in spaced

BigChanChan
>>56587180

I'm pretty sure he's already watched Shuan of the Dead and Hot Fuzz if you do a search.

mrtheevilmage

the fact toast of london is only on 2% is criminal

Paul Lightfoot

Cant even find poll..oh well,I'd like dark place as only 6 episodes

adam raw

I'm hoping for Him & Her to win some votes

Daniel
>>56590262

Him & her is fantastic! All the characters are great!

Michael Harrop

I'm so salty that this poll had ended, i was excited for Gavin and Stacey, now it's open again and were stuck with Come Fly With Me😂 I'm gunna have a big drink now

Daniel

A little bit more Gervais would be good.

Manly Stump
>>56595911

Haha on the plus side CFWM is only 6 episodes, it'll be over before you know it!

Teddy Alison
>>56595993

After life I suppose you mean? I’ve never seen that, would be intrigued to watch it tho

Anonymous

Inside No 9 and Hello Ladies please!

David Hellings

If this is up until Friday, then what will you be uploading today?

Ed

Uggh I'd rather not watch either of the frontrunners. Gavin and Stacey is overrated and Come Fly with Me is just awful. Would like Josh to finish watching the Linehan shows with Black Books or to watch Spaced or even an old show again like Porridge

Z is for Zed

This third party polling system isn't tied to a Patreon account, so there's nothing to stop people rocking the vote with multiple entries for the same show. Not saying that's what happened, just saying it would be easy for someone to have done so.

Alexander Bond
>>56620298

And for some reason there are 1.5k subs on this Patreon account but 4.2k votes. Don't know how that happens.

Oliver Shone

Come on guys pull together we can not let gavin and Stacey win this thing LETS GO COME FLY WITH ME

Anonymous

I liked the first two series of Gavin and Stacey, I only look down on it now cause Corden became annoying and series 3/special sucked.

Mark garrett

Josh I know your rule but seriously come fly with me will not keep you entertained please add Fresh Meat, it is so amazing my favourite show and not mainstream. It has Simon from inbetweeners and jack Whitehall so funny

Hannah

Balls of Steel and Bo Selecta would be my next choice...but do they have trouble with copyright or something?

Anonymous
>>56632566

What happened to that comedy two members for The Inbetweeners did? Something about windows or something?

Christopher Horner
>>56632836

They're more like sketch shows which Josh says are more suited to YouTube. If individual sketches are mentioned as being worth viewing they get posted there.

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

Anyone know what we're getting today? I'm confused and slightly drunk lol

Teddy Alison
>>56624317

Been waiting for so long aswell. And the fact that it’s only 6 episodes it wouldn’t delay another show coming in hardly either

Ed
>>56655804

If it gets voted in but reckon that would be quite unlikely

Neil J

Gavin and Stacy looks like it’s just pipped Come Fly with Me. That’s like dodging a bullet and walking straight into a cannonball.

Alexander Bond

Well, Derek just got a massive surge of votes to put it in first place.

Ash Jeffries

I really do think Derek and After Life are a sharp drop in quality from The Office and Extras but I can see certain bits might be enjoyable for Josh. I think Black Books is perfect for Josh, completely his SOH given how much he loved the other Linehan-penned shows such as Father Ted and The IT Crowd. I know Josh has got on well with Phoenix Nights and I don't worry so much about the jokes / subtlety of The Royle Family as I do the pace and complete lack of plot. I adore the show (Well, series 1-3 and The Queen of Sheba... it's a bit lacklustre after that) but I can just tell it probably wouldn't be Josh's thing... I could be wrong! He was lukewarm about The Office but grew to love it, so... The Thin Blue Line would be right up Josh's street I think! Gavin & Stacey is far better than Derek IMHO. Both seem to be level-pegging at the moment. Come Fly with Me is a guilty pleasure of mine. I didn't like Little Britain at all but admittedly CFWM is less gross-out and lazy, even if it is equally as silly. The League of Gentlemen is a masterpiece but I can't see it winning. Always had a less mainstream appeal, very BBC2, all the better for it IMHO!

Lee

I can't believe how much this is blowing up. The one with the most votes is the one most people want to watch. Not who shouts the loudest. We get 28 reactions a month for a couple of quid. Bargain even if you only like 1 show. Everyone needs to just chill. 😎

Ben

I cast my votes, that's all I can do! But just for the sake of offering my opinion, I think Black Books is a perfect choice as it's very much the same type of humour as Father Ted and IT Crowd and they both went down very well already. I personally prefer Father Ted over Black Books, but I favour Black Books over IT Crowd, still love IT Crowd though. Spaced would be a great choice as Josh has already watched the Cornetto Trilogy and Spaced is the series that started it all, it has a short run too with less than 15 episodes I believe. I'm actually a bit surprised it hasn't gotten more support here. It may be time I stop trying to push for KMKY, if it didn't happen at the time IAP was chosen it probably wont be chosen now! Surprised to see The Mighty Boosh is gone from the poll, I would have thought that was a popular choice. I hope to see it back next time. I may be in the minority with this, and that's fine, but to me, the best of Ricky Gervais is now various youtube clips, Derek's ok but it's a massive step down from The Office and Extras, Life's Too Short has some very funny moments, but apart from those few funny moments the show itself wasn't very memorable. I'd probably watch a Derek reaction, at least the first couple of episodes to see if it grabs me, but I think I'll be much more excited to see a 5 minute reaction to Rockbusters on youtube than to a new Gervais series! I really enjoyed Hello Ladies but haven't seen it in years, I'd be happy to see it on here but I'm not too disappointed it's not doing so well. League of Gentleman, I found it a bit hit and miss, but the hits are real hits, so I voted for that, I think that would be a good one to react to. Love the Royle Family, great show, but I don't know if it's a show to react to, we're basically watching people watch TV anyway! don't know if we need to make it meta! but I'd watch it again. Watched a bit of Gavin & Stacy a few years ago, all I remember from it is Rob Brydon, I remember thinking it was funny, but he's the only thing I remember from it! Love Darkplace, but it would surprise me if it's voted in, having said that these last couple of polls have surprised me so anything can happen! A final thought, I mentioned this before, but a show like Taskmaster doesn't need it's entire catalogue to be committed to, you can react to one season, it doesn't even matter which season, as long as the episodes are watched in order. I know this could be complicated trying to figure out a system in which one season can be voted for, but it's worth considering if other patrons agree. I say this for Josh's sake because it's a really great show, I feel bad if he feels he can't watch it until a majority of us decide!

Daniel
>>56671134

I just started task master a month ago and its brilliant! Great suggestion! I hope for more Alan too one day, thoughts on this country? Maybe at some point Josh could do a free night where he decides, dealers choice if you like... base it off of what he likes, you know..

Ben

I’ve never heard of black books and only seen a bit of farmer ted, I struggle with the humour just can’t really get in to it, but I am younger so maybe that’s why but always happy to try new comedy’s :)

King Bloo

Seeing as though Blackadder is soon to end its run as well as Phoenix Nights not too long after it might be cool to have the top three results of this poll take the place of Brasseye, Blackadder & Phoenix Nights when the time comes within a few weeks- everyones happy 😀

Luke

So disappointed that Porridge is dropping lower in favour of more Ricky Gervais. It's not too late to add some votes.

Teddy Alison
>>56691454

Great idea. Have a feeling there is conflict between the Gavin and Stacey mob and the Come Fly With Me mob. Both will be reacted to eventually. What do you think of this Josh?

Adam C Turek

It's only a matter of time before we're smearing on the war paint and charging with the flags of our favourite shows. Think i'd approach the "To the Manor Born" lot, those were wasted votes. I try to resuscitate What We Do In The Shadows, but there's no use, it's gone, died with only a few votes to it's name... i'll have to tell it's wife the bad news... Patreon never Changes

Sam Owen

Clicked royle family without realising Gavin and stacey was there 😂 I’m gonna assume I can’t change my vote but I love both shows anyway!

Z is for Zed

I like Ricky Gervais and greatly dislike Gavin and Stacey, so as nice as this sudden swing is, it's still as dodgy as all hell.

tania P. Bear
>>56709612

You can vote for more than one show, but only one vote per show. You can still go back and give Gavin and Stacey a vote.

Alexander Bond
>>56714626

Yeah, Derek was nowhere then suddenly gets 150+ votes on the 3rd day. I never watched more than a few episodes, so I doubt I'll watch someone reacting to it.

Kieran B

Blimey, someone's been spamming Derek votes haha

Jack Nicholas

I think someone has been abusing the voting system, somehow. I like Derek and Gavin and Stacey, but they got so many votes in a suspiciously short amount of time.

Joe Gardiner

If people are seriously spamming a poll for this, get a life and have some bloody patience! Jesus wept :)

Michael Harrop

Cool were totally legitimately getting Derek 😂👍

Z is for Zed

I can't wait until tomorrow when Josh pops up again with a "April fools, here's the real poll and vote riggers need all your asses beat" and releases a new one.

Kieran B

I think of all the flaws of Patreon’s poll system it might be the better option overall, even if allows fewer options than a third party one

Alexander Bond

It's probably Ricky Gervais spamming the poll. He loves 'Derek'.

Teddy Alison

Ffs there is no way these poll results are legit. 5000 vote also seems slightly excessive. The fact that Derek has got a major surge in votes over night raises a red flag. At the end of the day, I don’t really care what wins as long as it’s legit. Sorta feel sorry for Josh aswell as he is trying to please everyone and is trying to make it as fair as possible but is getting ruined by poll spammers. This is why I think we should use the patreon poll as it only allows one vote per person on multiple shows and doesn’t allow outside parties to vote. Bearing in mind this is the first time this has happened because the last poll got done on patreon and Brass Eye as the winner had 200/300 something votes which seems like the numbers add up. Very disappointed. There is literally 6 slots for shows so everyone’s show will get picked eventually.

Teddy Alison
>>56755736

So annoying. At the end of the day whatever wins, wins. But it should be legit. At least a patreon poll we can ensure that.

lee cooper

I thought id heard it all in my 45 years but i continue to be amazed. Its a poll on a patreon to decide which show josh is gping to react to ffs not an election to decide the next US president, seriously do you honestly believe there are ppl out there that have the time or are that bothered to want to rig a patreon reaction channel poll, please grow up

Mick Mills

Good to see Gervais stuff up there and I like Gavin and Stacey also. I remember Come Fly with me as being more of a sketch show than a series although I never watched all of them.

Teddy Alison
>>56849382

It’s a Sketch show with a few short sketch stories running through the episodes. Decent enough to watch for a reaction. 6 episodes aswell won’t take up too much space.

Paul Lightfoot

Voted my top 5,hopefully if something suddenly gets loads of votes on the last day then Josh would see,not actually read most comments but 8 I see sounds like ppl are worried lol,who cares I pretty much like everything josh has done for the last year or so.
