Ash Jeffries

I do now think Men Behaving Badly would be an ideal successor to Only Fools and One Foot in the Grave for Friday nights. It's a great show that gets better with every series and I think Josh would really enjoy it. Jonathan Creek would be my second choice and is also written entirely by David Renwick who wrote OFITG! Also, Caroline Quentin is in both these shows and is brilliant! :-D

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

There are are few I'd like but I've got my fingers crossed for Jonathan Creek 🤞🏻 it would be a nice change whilst still fitting in perfectly after OFITG imo. I look forward to seeing what wins anyway!

BigChanChan

I've been hoping for Men Behaving Badly for ages and it's been close but finally it looks to have a chance 😁 ... Probably my favourite UK comedy sitcom ever and it just gets better with each series.

Sam Reeves

Jonathon Creek needs to win. Great show for a Friday night!

(Just) Steve

Let's go Men Behaving Badly!

TheHigh

nice new pateron ui update , added absolutely nothing of use , removed non creator profiles from the top right so you can no longer look at your past comments some what easily , now have to enter user id or find a comment you have made then click yourself... still no reply notification. no dark mode. what complete morons seriously , if it wasn't for you josh i wouldn't use this trash site , in all honestly onlyfans has better overall website usage. should move to there Lol :P jk , on the real though its better lmao , oh well guess il never see my past 380 comments and if anyone replied to them , unless i remember each and every one of them or scroll through a big ass list that load 10 a time! rant over , there are some GREAT shows on here but my personal vote goes to PJDN , still game and benidorm! :P i use to live next to benidorm so i have a little bias towards it haha and my man Steve Pemberton :P hope everyone's doing well on this HOT ass few days in England!

Lloyd Morley

Men Behaving Badly easily for me. Don't judge it on the US version if that's all you have seen. Its another British classic.

Will

Love Jonathan Creek, Misfits and Men Behaving Badly, 🤞 one of them win! Never seen Fresh Meat so looking forward to that if that is the result

Will

Out of interest, are you including the series with Harry Enfield?

Tony Smyth

The only part of this comment I understand is the bit about People Just Do Nothing. Good call Bro!

Duncan

I am happy and content, knowing that Jonathan Creek is popular enough, that it will make it on to the active watch schedule at some point

Z is for Zed

"Don't judge it on the US version" is a good rule of thumb for the vast majority of comedy shows they've 'localized'.

ALW

Likewise. Love the show. Actually only found it recently!

Adamski

Still Game 👍

Sam Owens

This is one of those things were I look at the choice and think "None of them" and yet can't think of another comedy show to suggest haha

Phil Spicer

Been desperate for months for Men Behaving Badly...c'mon people 😁

Phil Spicer

Some saying first series isn't worth it but there's still funny stuff. It introduces you to all the other characters too. Love Men Behaving Badly... grew up on it.

Ash Jeffries

Agreed. I think the first series of MBB is underrated. The show would go on to be much better (series 1 of both OFAH and OFITG were similarly not the strongest) but it's still good stuff!

Jay

Whoever suggested The New Statesman, you're a god!

Mark McKeown

Doesn't that mean your tastes are too restricted then lol, try one of them from the list, maybe you'll enjoy it too =]

Craig

Still Game needs the recognition it deserves outwith Scotland folks! Every other US reactor on youtube has fallen in love with it so heres hoping it gets more votes 🤞 Also what happened to The Thick of It?

TheHigh

you a fan of his sketch show "the Peter Serafinowicz show" i think its called , i found it pretty dam funny! he's a good impersonator!

Ed

Definitely got to be Men Behaving Badly from this list, quite slim pickings for me after that. I know it won't make this list but it would be great to see you react to the Top Gear specials, not the whole show but their road trip specials. It would be a little bit like An Idiot Abroad as it would be a funny travel programme

TheHigh

agreed , although 70% of the stuff they do is set up and staged the remaining 30% is truly funny stuff , hell even the cringey obvious fake stuff is still funny at times! , i would love to see some special reactions!

Josh B

Is men behaving badly really that good? I found it a fairly average show. There are many better choices to pick from on the poll.

Rob Walters

No, it was mediocre. Don't know why people are championing it like it's any good. 'Steptoe and Son' is the one for me, plus its two feature films. Without Steptoe, there would have been no OFAH and the amount John Sullivan took from Steptoe for OFAH is unreal!

Tony Smyth

There's way too many OLD people on this site, voting for the same kinda shite that my parents used to watch. 'Living in the past' is the most polite term I can think of for them. I'll be 61yrs young in September. (True story) If People Just Do Nothing doesn't win within the next 4 or 5 years I'm going to get very angry. I'll settle for MBB for now. /rant

Clowd

How do you know they are old? I'm 27 and I voted for Goodnight Sweetheart

Tony Smyth

They think Nostalgia is a Virtue. (It's a curse.) They think the old jokes are the best. (They aren't.) They write long comments. (Longer than this one.) They explain things. Hope that explains everything.

Jason

The lack of love for Jonathan Creek is upsetting

jim78

Oh please not men behaving badly, it's dated really really badly & is just broad, lowbrow garbage. Why is Rising Damp so low? Has everyone forgotten about it? It was one of the best comedies the UK ever produced

Danny

Men Behaving Badly doesn't have 93 episodes Josh, it has 43.

Tony Smyth

The irony Miss Jones... ... and the blatant Racism. Leonard Rossiter was a superb actor. Rising Damp wasn't his best performance

Gyle

C'mon Men behaving badly! If men behaving badly does win josh, you don't need to watch series 1. (its like a black adder kind of deal)

Nell Sun

Men Behaving Badly's probably the best pick from this lot. Some other good stuff there, I dunno if Josh would enjoy them though.

jim78

Men behaving badly is shite & I will end my patreon membership if he starts watching that awful crap

jim78

And by the way, I did watch them all when it was originally on but recently I stumbled upon & episode & was ashamed that I used to find it funny. It's comedy for the lowest common denominator. Don't lower yourself.

Danny

Do it. People come and go all the time for lots of reasons, Money, Shows they like and don't like appearing and going. Do you think you are making some kind of threat? I'm sure you leaving will be a big dent the 1500 patreon who support and will make Josh cry and stop watching a show. All power to you.

Keith Pratt

For those who think Josh should skip the entire first series of Men Behaving Badly, this is what he had to say when he'd completed the first series of Only Fools & Horses: "I look forward to the second season of Only Fools . Its always awesome to see a show's natural evolution. I think it makes you appreciate the show a lot more when you experience it from the beginning. When Only Fools was first brought up in the comment section on YouTube along with other shows, I remember how many people asked me to skip full seasons or particular episodes of shows . I think doing that takes away valuable character building and an overall appreciation for the shows growth. There are blogs, forums and videos dedicated to season and episode skips. I don't think I could ever skip seasons or episodes of a show I am watching for the first time. I will always feel like I am missing something." For me personally, I saw series 3 of Men Behaving Badly first and didn't see series 2 until it was repeated. They never repeated series 1 and I'd heard negative things about it. I was intrigued, so I bought it on VHS and was pleasantly surprised. I recently watched the entire show again from start to finish and enjoyed every second. It maybe "of its time", but I bloody well loved the 90s.

Danny

I've never seen the first series, The BBC never used to repeat it as it was ITV made, I assume it's just 6 episodes surely everyone can sit through 6 bad episodes to get to the good stuff? It's not like US shows where the first season is 20+ episodes.

BigChanChan

It's nowhere near as bad as the first Blackadder first season... The MBB S1 is still worth watching and shows the development of the characters which is vital and also totally different to Blackadder in that show changed to different character's each season so not a like for like comparison... I don't think we should have even mentioned the change in S2 anyway as I see it as a spoiler for Josh and watching S1 makes you appreciate how good it gets over its evolution.

Saul

@C Horner Yeah, but Wayne's World wasn't up for a vote in a Patreon you pay money for. If it was you might've felt like saying that you found it less funny than you remembered. You probably wouldn't have said 'don't lower yourself' but that's basically the implication whenever someone trashes a show in the comments. Which touches on why people react so defensively to criticism of their favourite shows - there is no real way to criticise something someone else loves in a way that's acceptable to them, it always gets their hackles up regardless of how polite you are.

Saul

Ah, the old 'which shows have I seen?' poll.

Andrew Cardinal

I think he should skip the whole first series, it feels like a different show in that first series.

JokerDanny

Men Behaving Badly getting more votes than Still Game is a travesty

Lee

What’s even worse is Still Game is somehow behind Benidorm and Not Going Out.

Tony Smyth

It confuses me how some people get so wound up in these comments. You'd swear they hadn't got a sense of humour. ... and I'm pretty sure they don't get Irony too.

Jay

Maybe they just think your "sense of humour" is toxic and completely unfunny.

Nell Sun

Am surprised there's no 'Jam' or 'Knowing Me Knowing You'

Retro Ravi

Goodnight sweetheart has such a good and fun premise for a series

Tony Smyth

"I very rarely comment when people are negative about a show, it's their opinion which I will always respect. I also agree with another comment you made on the recent Vicar Of Dibley post when someone was told to calm down just because they criticised a joke." Funniest comment ever 😜

Tony Smyth

Christopher. do you want a hug? It's your Birthday in December. I could send you a candle.

Faisal Ramzan

Wow didn't think MBB would be so popular. Would seem to be rather dated nowadays and wouldn't call it a 'classic'.

Saul

Bit surprised Not Going Out doesn't do better. It's cheese, but it's high quality cheese(at least for half its run). Something like Brie, or Mascarpone, or Dairylea.

Ash Jeffries

Enjoyable series but for me it's a show of two halves. Series 1-7 is great and very appealing and funny (cheesy as you say, but funny). Series 8 onwards seems such a departure and it becomes quite a different premise. I won't elaborate on why in case it wins a poll in the near future but most people who have seen all of it will know what I mean.

Lee Briggs

Please do People Do Nothing, it's absolutely fucking hilarious, the cringe factor is almost like The Office.

Tony Smyth

''The Office, multiplied by Bo Selecta, divided by Craig (pause) Daaaaaaaavid'' is what you meant to say. People Just Don't Vote. Losers win everytime.

Richard M

It is definitely a pity that People Just Do Nothing isn't doing better. An amazing series.

Kate

I hope one day you do Ab Fab its brilliant and Knowing me knowing you is brilliant too.

ElvisLee

I really hope you get to react to Rising Damp in the near future.

Tony Smyth

Nobody told me the Rules, except for Christopher and Brett, AFTER I broke them. This isn't fair. I demand a retrial. I want people with a sense of humour in the Jury. - I'm not joking.

carly broome

I think you should add the carry on films.
