Great selection of movies this month 👍

Tony Smyth

I'm not going to say anything other than I'm looking forward to September. [EDIT] Okay then I will. I'll try to keep it positive. Here goes... Layer Cake might be good. I haven't seen it.

Josip Buretić

Is this some romance month or something like that 😉

Daryl

I rarely watch the films. I'm just happy that Tony isn't.... [Edit]... all that Happy. 🤣

Can we have Goodnight Mr Tom and The Commitments in the next poll please thanks.

Colin Bayley

Josh. I would like to offer my deeply held condolences for what you have to endure tonight. Life is seldom always fair but I have faith you will come out of it a stronger man. I ask you forgive your torturers. They just want their films shown because they are involved in some sort of low rent pissing contest. The good news is there will be nothing to react too for the first 90 minutes or so. Perhaps you can bring snacks. Or better still dark sunglasses. You have ample time for a nap. They are not looking for a reaction anyway. They just want to watch their film with someone online. Selfish. Comments may get in the way anyway.

Stuart Fewtrell

Thing is, if you cut out all the Jack & Rose stuff, Titanic would have been a fantastic film. They had to spoil it, though.

Maybe should put the 1958 version Night to Remember in the poll. Good version of the story focusing mainly on the passengers and the sinking. Don't think Josh has reacted to a B&W film either so be interesting to see what he thinks.

Gyle

:(

mrtheevilmage

god thats is a shite list...whose tortuing poor Josh here by making him watch Love Actually? you should feel ashamed whoever you are, no Human being should watch that film...Josh take a sick day for love actually...cause i swear who is torturing you to watch these? Send a coded private message to me if someone is blackmailing you to watch these. Also As somebody how has a History Degree....Titanic is Historically inaccurate claptrap..god damn I am sad..but seriously josh...send help if someone is Blackmailing you to watch this...cause all I voted for was Kung fu hustle cause thats actually good.

That's what I was going to say. I'm glad I don't have to now. Colin, welcome to my world. You're gonna get hammered now, relentlessly.

god damn everyone what is it with depressing films or obscure mid tier films that you love to force on poor Josh cause theres way better films out there.

Ben

I knew Titanic had a very long runtime, but I had no idea that Love Actually was that long! At least with Titanic there's at least a good hour and a half of really great visuals and atmosphere. Love Actually has maybe about 20 minutes of decent material, but only if it's Christmas and you feel in the mood for that type of thing. I predict Josh will be polite about it though.

Danny

So Titanic reaction gonna be going up at like 4am 😅

Colin Bayley

Whether a film is good or not is irrelevant. Is it a good reaction film is what it's about. Talking heads do not make a reaction movie. I do notice that when a good reaction film appears on the list its usually voted for straight away. There's some good older reaction films there but a distinct lack of interest by the sweet young things prevails.

Jay

Looking forward to seeing Josh's reaction to Bourne Identity and Layer Cake!

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

Josh has repeatedly said that he isn't into romance storylines and Titanic and Love Actually come top 😳 At least Titanic has some decent action in it I suppose but christ, 3 hours is a long time sit and be filmed 'reacting' to something lol. My friend at school was OBSESSED with Titanic when it came out, I think she went to see it about 8 times at the cinema and didn't shut up about it for what felt like a year. I think that clouds my view of the film slightly :D

Tony Smyth

I suspect that some people vote only for the movies they know or have heard of, even if they ARE shit movies. This is what happens when that happens. I could be wrong.

I'm paying this so called Josh good money to react to what was democratically decided. I don't care if he enjoys it. If he wants to enjoy something, let him do that in his own time.

Joe Gardiner

I wonder what happens at the end of Titanic. Hopefully everyone's OK.... Nothing for me in this list but hopefully those who've voted enjoy the reactions.

Joe Gardiner

Just another random question but as I've not seen everything Josh has reacted to as some are not my cup of tea but has there ever been anything he actively disliked? Come Fly with Me would be a strong contender but some of these films may test that! I know he likes to see the best in everything and is totally upbeat but surely there must be something?! We're all human after all

There are 4 categories of personalities involved in this Tony. Some people are in it because they are involved in a pissing contest. Some people don't want to watch anything new for some unfathomable reason. Presumably they live on chips with beans, stuff out of little jars, go to bed at 6pm and need bathing in the morning because that's what they were introduced to and can't face a change. Some people are so arrogant they will never question their own ideas. And some people are lacking any self awareness and think if they like something then every right minded people will have the same opinion.

Tony Smyth
>>89136901

You left out bystanders like me and you, people who couldn't care less and those of us who's head moves from side to side involuntarily when they read these results. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's 5 types of people.

Colin Bayley
>>89138215

Josh doesn't do dissention. Firstly he's a nice guy and secondly he doesn't want to alienate anyone. You can tell what he gets into by how involved he gets. He injects himself into the onscreen action. It's his site and he should step up to the plate more.

Ben
>>89138215

Out of curiosity I watched the end of his Evan Almighty reaction, simply because that movie had no positive comments under the video, despite being voted in! He was polite in mentioning the elements that he did like, but I got the impression he wasn't that into it (that's my assumption, I might be wrong)

Andrew

Excellent point Tony,tell us more

Tony Smyth

How could I be so stupid? You are correct. There's absolutely NO WAY to fix it. It's not as simple as just shifting the schedule <strike>back</strike> forward by a day seven times a week.

Andrew

Would you say Titanic should be voted Tony?

Ash Jeffries
>>89138215

Josh is super polite but I can tell when he isn't too impressed, even a specific episode of a show he is enjoying overall. "That was a decent episode" = "It wasn't great but there's always next week!" :-D

Colin Bayley
>>89138215

Actually, if you want to see Josh reacting when he's into what he's watching. See him react to last week's VOD.

Anonymous

They obviously didn't pick that music for no reason, what's the significance of it?

Chris H
>>89136901

"I suspect that some people vote only for the movies they know or have heard of" Wait, are we supposed to be randomly picking movies that we haven't heard of and know nothing about, lucky dip style? I didn't realise. By the way, a bystander is someone who stands by looking on, minding their own business. Not someone who chimes in moaning that they're surrounded by morons every time the shows or movies they like don't get chosen.

Liam

So why do some of you guys hate Josh? 😂

Jade Nepia

jesus christ what is this shit

Saul

Just wanted to second this and also express utter bewilderment at the other reply your comment got. If it's satire then it's indistinguishable from the general attitude around here. And this attitude is not doing this channel any favours. There has to be SOME balance between the stuff we all foot-stompingly demand he watch regardless of whether it's in his wheelhouse...and then on the other hand the stuff that would actually make for a good reaction because it's up his alley. Too many people, way too many people, give absolutely no thought to the second element at all. Some people are even pigheadedly proud of it. "If he wants to enjoy something lit him do that in his own time".

>>89136866

Thanks Saul, I thought Jeffrey was being serious at first but then I read it again and the 'this so called Josh' part made me sure he wasn't :) I could be wrong, as you say, some people genuinely have that attitude so it's difficult to tell just from text on a screen but I'm giving Jeffrey the benefit of the doubt. Completely agree with your points. I think some people just vote for things they're familiar with too, regardless of how good they think it is or whether it'll make a good reaction for Josh. I'm just basing that on the times films have recieved over a hundred votes yet there are only a couple of comments from people afterwards on the reaction page. As if hardly anyone was interested in it at all.

Saul
>>89138215

Jackass. For sure. And inevitably there were people in the comments saying 'you HAVE to watch all the Jackass movies now', completely oblivious.
