Love, love, love, love this episode! So inventive, so funny, so sweet, so entertaining, just delightful stuff from beginning to end and another departure for Reece and Steve I think too in that it was so much lighter hearted than their usual style, even within the context of an anthology show and compared with all other episodes hitherto. A Quiet Night In became a little sinister at the end and Empty Orchestra had a lighter tone and a happy ending but wasn't as overtly comical. Zanzibar was full on fluffy and fun in the best possible way! This pastiche of Shakespearean farce, and the use of iambic pentameter, juxtaposed with modern day cultural references and humour is so much fun, and I just love language under a microscope! As with The Riddle of the Sphinx, but in a somewhat different fashion, I am in my element with this episode. Wonderful stuff!

Yeaaah! I knew you'd love this one man 😁 there's a good couple of really good dark ones coming up 😉

I really love this one, which is odd because I don't usually appreciate it when they try something 'different' (hey, I know what I like!) but this I guess is the exception that proves the rule; it's clever and funny and why not a happy ending sometimes?

Love this really fun episode, it captures your attention straight away and holds it throughout :) can't believe we're on series 4 already. Yeah Josh, you missed him swiping the drugged glass of wine off the trolley after the red headed woman was given the apple tart to eat :) to be fair it was pretty quick.

Ben

I really like this episode, which is weird because there is a future episode that is similarly experimental that I didn't like much. This one just flowed much better I think.

Jay

I'm with the rest of you, I loved this episode. I'm glad Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith mixed the format up a little bit, because having every episode with a dark twist ending can get a bit samey at times. I also enjoyed Empty Orchestra for the same reason, but that episode wasn't quite as strong in its execution.

Josh

What a fun episode! Love watchint these + men behaving badly on a sunday

David Lyons

Great episode, the only issue I had was when they mention hearing the toilet flush, are they implying that she passed the diamond ring in a matter of minutes?? Also loved the little 4th wall break by Steve when he mentions how they're talking in rhyming couplets :) Kind of surprised Josh didn't recognise Kevin Eldon, though, he's made enough appearances in other shows by this point!

Michael Harrop

This show surprises all of the time, to write an episode entirely in rhyme. Shearsmith and Pemberton devising twists so surprising, their talent is simply sublime!

Kieran B

It’s not based on a play but is a mix of lots of Elizabethan theatre elements (eg Shakespeare), but it’s written in iambic pentameter, like Shakespeare, so gives it that feel The actress that plays Colette the maid in this also plays Shakespeare’s daughter in Upstart Crow (where Shakespeare is played by David Mitchell)

I have memories of loving this show and watching it with my best mate and then being flat mates and wanting to be like them. However I cannot stand watching this now.... it's just terrible to me lol. I really hope it comes good in the next series as I do not remember series 1 at all. I am a little worried that I still won't like it as I'm a different person to who I was back then. Everything seems to just man hate these days and I'm tired of it. I still like Married With Children cause Al Bundy is a typical working class bloke, but the show doesn't hate him for it. Like old Homer Simpson, where he had morals and always did the right thing, where new Simpsons makes him into an idiot man.
