The next two episodes are the Christmas specials from 1975 and 1976. They are titled 'No Way Out' and 'The Desperate Hours' and are 41 and 44 minutes long.

Ian Richards

In addition to the Christmas specials, there was a Porridge film made in 1979. Although it came after the TV show, chronologically it's set sometime during the series (they mention that Godber's about halfway through his sentence in the film), so it might be worth including that at some point before Series 3, depending on how everyone else feels.

William Burnham

Peter Vaughan Game of Thrones) as Grouty as superb. Just the right amount of menace

William Jaques

Love this series and your reaction bud! but I just gotta say... Baseball field?! Not many Baseball fields in England mate, let alone in the 1970's :-)

I don't know if its been mentioned before (most probably has) but in case it hasn't - Godber (Richard Beckinsale)'s real life daughter is the actress Kate Beckinsale of the Underworld franchise and many more films...... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_Beckinsale

bxkid7 watched the film before the final episode. Someone told him that is where it falls chronologically, but I've never been able to verify this. There's also the pilot episode Prisoner & Escort which is a must, IMO.

I would definitely like to see a reaction to the film, but would much prefer it all to be watched in order of release, ie Porridge the TV series, then Going Straight and then the film, which, to me, would be fitting, as it was Richard Beckinsale's last completed project.

Fletcher talking about a young boxer who fell into the 'too much too soon' pitfalls of excess and debt etc, somehow predicted the career of Mike Tyson before it happened.
