Thanks everyone for taking the time to vote. I'm really looking forward to seeing this show . This has been on the poll for so long and I have enjoyed everything with Karl in it so far .

Karl is in - near enough - every scene and he wrote the script, alongside Richard Yee. Not sure how Karl's near omnipresence (which you've called "great") in this show, and the show itself being shit, can possibly both be true... 🙃🙈

The dialogue and internal monologue concept are good. The overall writing, tones, pacing and structure of the series is subpar

Oh no sorry, I initially answered that it was. I was wrong. I thought this was for Monday's slot as Josh usually announces it the day he puts out the first episode, no it's for tomorrow :/ sorry about that.

Meh - I don't agree but it's your opinion, so fair enough! Compared to the dreadful After Life from the supposedly "cleverer" Ricky Gervais, I think Sick of It is a gloriously well written and performed show. 🙏

I've not even watched after life. I honestly think the problem with this show is that it's made by Sky, A lot of sky shows feel shit in this kind of way. It was Karl and Richard who are able to get some good out of it. Probably budget issues or something

I think the only improvement I'd have made to Sick of It would be the running time of each episode. 21-23 minutes isn't enough Karl! 😁 After Life is so much more pretentious, self-aggrandising, manipulative, and tonally jarring than Sick of It in my view. What I love about Sick of It is just how down to earth, honest, humble and funny it is. It may be less polished and a bit rough around the edges but that's apt, because that's Karl! 🙏

Nice looking forward to this, I only caught a couple of episodes when it came out 🙂 Also, completely unrelated Josh, but I've been really getting into WH40k recently, playing a bunch of videogames, picked up a few books, doing a deep dive into lore videos, Helsreach, Astartes, etc. I also like watching react channels going on a similar journey, so I was super hyped when I happened to stumble across your WH40k reactions, I had no idea they existed and I can't wait to binge watch them 😄 So pumped for Space Marine 2

I've recently tried the first 2 episodes and I've been disappointed but I'll carry on with the reactions here... I think people here praising it have been blinded by the fact that it's Karl Pilkington!... If Karl wasn't in it, nobody here would talk about it or watch it... In fact, it would have never been commissioned and certainly wouldn't have had a second season... Hopefully it gets better from EP3 and I'm judging too soon.

I thought this show was great. Very happy it won. It was quite thoughtful and deep in places so am looking forward to re-experiencing it. Ignore the 'everything I personally don't enjoy is therefore shit' comments. I hated Spaced, Black Books and Darkplace etc but didn't label them shit as I realised that they just aren't for me.

Saying it’s better than after life ain’t high praise ash, but I’m still curious. More and more I think Karl is a bit of a miracle and should be protected; he descended on us, made us laugh, rediscovered most of the last 2000 years of philosophy just by accident…then retired to do grouting away from the public eye. He gets a lot of leeway from me to do whatever the hell he wants from now on.

I agree, it's subjective, and we are all entitled to an opinion and all have different tastes... I mean, The Vicar of Dibley was voted in so there's no accounting for taste in here 😜 I might still end up liking it yet, sometimes it takes a few episodes but even accounting for taste, there’s no way this show gets any traction in here or with the general public if it wasn't a Karl Pilkingtin vehicle!
