Great reaction, Josh! This is possibly my favourite of series 1. It's so moving. Karl isn't a sentimental person or at least he doesn't readily show it and yet here we see just how loyal and loving he is with Norma. He doesn't approve of the racism but like you, Josh, he realises this is a lost little old lady so doesn't think ill of her for it as she seems genuinely nonplussed, haha! Vinnie himself is portrayed a bit more ambiguously as we learn he's rather loose with his morals, so was he genuinely ignorant of how wrong it all was? His infidelity and the racism are not mutually inclusive but as we learn he wasn't an innocent, sweet, loyal man, it does make you wonder if he really cared about the rights and wrongs elsewhere in life too. Food for thought! I know Karl is basically playing himself but nevertheless, he's a great actor! He just seems so natural, almost like there's no script! Great stuff! Karl should be very proud of this series!

I like that this show has given you quite a bit to talk about at the end of every episode :) I'm really enjoying it more than I expected, it feels like a 'cosy' show if that makes sense.
