Lack of interest for the Goth Mistress Comic (Patreon)

Unfortunately I like doing different stuff...
and this has been a problem with my audience since forever...

So... should i make a different account for more serious stuff?
It's raans doll all over again!... Im having a lot of ideas for longer comics but you guys just want to watch insta cosplay or similar stuff...

let me know!

Also, Might be just a lack on interest on the goth mistress... but that comic tie to a lot of stuff that people has been asking for --- whatever.. I dont like sharing much... just disappointed of the engagement...

might just do insta cosplays from now on an forget about it...

(just being silly... unfortunately the next stuff is just that.. kinda regret it now lol)

Personally I love the longer comics stories. It really makes up of a book that gets interesting and you feel more immerse with it. The short stories and the short comics don’t last long you’re not immersed with it. You just feel like you’ve read a page when they’re longer and spaced out, they feel more like a book when you feel and imagine what the story is like if you were in it.

Ah stars how do I put it… Same curves, same archetypes, simple stories… I’ve noticed there’s a rise in popularity for Original World building lately… why not try that? Develop your own world and setting with your art. Draw in your readers with engaging stories and exciting unveils of story elements!~ The best way to have a strong audience is to be memorable. Your instant cosplay is popular because it’s something people know YOU for doing. Maybe the comic you want to do isn’t well received because people don’t know you for your storytelling anymore? Or maybe it’s because people go looking to art for an escape from the current reality and things set in a Modern Setting just feels too close to home right now?

I... don't know what your metric is for knowing with certitude that the Goth Mistress or the longer comics are more or less popular... If that's the number of likes or comments, then I don't think they are the most relevant. The number of subscribers, maybe a little more. I subbed for Raan’s Doll at a time where you pretty much stopped following it up, but I didn't stop the subscription. If your only goal is to make new subscribers then yeah there might be other directions available to you, for sure. Between outputing lots of content every month, venturing to other subgenres, and many others. But to me your past and current art and stories always have the perfect mix of what you put in them. If that is costing you too much emotionally, then there is not much we can do as followers... we will always not be engaged or enthusiastic enough. Yet we are there trying to support you, at least financially. Cheers !

The Goth Mistress story is my favourite of your current work. And I got so into Raan’s Doll. The way their relationship developed was just beautiful. I would love to see that continue some day.

I discovered you due to Raans Doll and loved it. While insta stuff is fun, I much prefer longer comics. Not sure how relevant my opinion and preferences are, as I'm not a paying patron. T_T But, if it doesn't hurt you, it would be amazing if you keep the Goth Mistress going. I would presume that a comic with overarching ongoing story has less pull initially, as it's unfinished and doing the "less exciting" set up of the plot first. But in the long run it pulls in way more people and can grow a lasting audience. People who fall in love with stories are the ones who stick around.

After reading a bunch of the other comments I feel like I’ll sound like a broken record, but I’d personally like to see MORE of a focus on longer stuff. Your longer comics have always been some of the best showing characters deliberately either choosing, submitting to, or accepting their new realities which give your transformations more meaning. I particularly think Goth Mistress has great potential for this. By nature you can’t really get this from short form comics. Your short comics have always been fun, but if you would make me pick one or the other I’m picking your longer comics every time. I don’t typically comment because I don’t feel I have much to say about anything, so if reinforcement comments is your metric I apologize for not contributing.

I think the longer comics bring less engagement but thats more of a waiting too see whats next kind of thing i love raans doll and goth mistress. But sprinkled in one shots and short comics helps keep things fresh

I think my main issue with the longer comic is the release schedule. I get the need to post what you have done, but most of the time I lose track what the current issue is and try to wait till that episode is at least done before reading. It might be helpful to just hold off on releasing an episode/chapter until it’s done. I do like it for sure, but work on what you want.

Goth mistress is my favourite. Is it just not getting much interest at all or just the recent chapter? I could maybe understand the recent chapter cos there’s not really any transformation or nsfw stuff, obviously I enjoyed it anyway cos it’s more of the story and characters but maybe cos there wasn’t much nsfw it didn’t perform well idk just my thoughts on it. I think the short stuff attracts more people but the long comics make them stay. That’s what it did for me anyway

1) I would love to see goth mistress continue 2) I’m not sure if this is the case but this is something to consider. When you get known for the ‘one thing’ that tends to narrow down your audience. So when you branch out it’s like starting over again because the audience you built expect certain things. So when you expand beyond it. It takes time and energy for the potential new people to find you work.

Aka, short form means that it comes out quicker and you get feedback more often and faster. Long form takes longer and the feedback is therefore nowhere near as consistent and constant. It's the sort of "brain popcorn" phenomenon that addiction-based social media relies on- it's easier to get that shot of feed-good chemicals when you're endlessly scrolling through short-form videos that don't do or say much than it is to see a video essay that's over an hour. I'd argue that the essay contributes a lot more on its own, though, purely from the format alone and the complexity and depth it enables that short form cannot support.

I honestly subscribe for the longer stories. Instant Cosplay ones are my least favorite of your works. Still good, but they pale in comparison to Raan's Doll, Z.O.A.T., or Goth Mistress.

I actually don't really prefer insta-cosplay, especially the shorter versions of it because I prefer the subjects of the story to experience a physical transformation, stretching, swelling, growing. I would join several of the other commenters and wholeheartedly ask you to keep it going!

The goth mistress is great. I really like it. I would encourage you not to judge yourself by engagement. You've built up a follower base with your artistic visions. I encourage you to follow that. Sexy vs plot and sexy + plot are different things. Keep making a one off page or something occasionally while working on the goth mistress. Do what works for you

I usually just lurk and not comment but since you're looking for comments, I'll give my 2 cents. I really like goth mistress it's some of my favorite comics you've done. However the last couple episodes didn't have much TG mistressing or gooning material. That's kind of the stuff I've been looking for in goth mistress. The story stuff is fine but I fell in love with it for the other stuff. If you want to be more story focused that's fine but some people might be focused on the lewd side of it and that's all they're after.

I love your larger stories I think it just hard to gauge reception and sorry on my and others like me behalf maybe we should give more feedback but sometimes I wait for you to fully finish a comic before I read it and maybe others are like that as well, whereas the short-form stuff gets the instant likes and feedback? just a thought from a huge fan of your work for almost a decade, I like both equally myself but different forms of feedback that blur the audience reception might be part of the problem.

Maybe it's a thing that the comic works better as you slowly reveal it. I've never read Raan's doll, but I came in when it was already quite established so I had no idea what was going on. I like Goth mistress, it's weird and I wonder what's going to happen next, so good in that way.
