Ill just have to change stuff around here...clearly people dont care about everything I do... should I split things into kind of content? I wonder

update: Or maybe I just really need that break...              I'm close to progress enough on one piece to allow me a few days off ...

Well, don't confuse not caring with people lurking. Is the best I can say. I've been a patron for a bit and even a follower of yours for a loong time on DA. Even on DA I don't typically comment, but I do leave likes and hearts when i remember to. . The fact you have patrons means people do care :D

Alison St John

Regardless of what you create, I'm here as a fan of your Artistry first and foremost 💕

Jagues

I loved everything you do

a_dumb_name

I love your work thats why ive stayed pledged for so long!

NightRhino

Your work is amazing! Sorority and spa special are two faves at number 1 and 2 for me.

German Art Gal

I love everything you post, but I rarely comment. So, why change a thing?

Kaffeyette Lektor

Not everyone will like everything you do, but despite that, people like enough of what you do to keep paying. Only a very small percentage of people will like or comment and they will all do so for a number of different reasons. That's not about you. That's just what people are like. You'll never find a secret formula that pleases everyone or makes everyone want to comment. It's the same everywhere. Everyone will have different tastes and will like a different mix of things. If you start breaking it up into different areas, you might lose some of the people who will not go to different places to look for all the different things they like. It's also nice to be surprised sometimes. Sometimes, you don't know what you want to see until you see it. Having said that, you could do different tiers for different styles of artwork. The more involved and time-consuming stuff that's harder for you to do might be reserved for a more expensive tier to make it worthwhile. If that's the stuff that's really popular, you'll get more reward for doing it. With me, for example, not everything you post blows my mind and there's some things that you and other people are obviously into that I'm not, so when you do those things, I don't get excited (but I still like them, because it helps you). Other times, however, you draw things that I really love and they make me so happy or excited or just in awe. Sometimes, I never could have predicted what it would be or how it would make me feel. It's worth looking at everything just to find those amazing things. It's like a treasure hunt. You also have to do the things that you like and that make you happy. Doing those things will help you keep developing your style and make everything you do better. Trying to do different things will help give you more ideas and sometimes doing one thing might give you great ideas for something else.

The Great Kipper

Not sure what you mean, but I have never had an issue with your methods

Onrustig

Nobody will like 'everything' and that is OK. Do what you like, not what you think people will like. I'm a big fan. You also can't really know what or if people like things. What do you miss? More suporters? More interaction? More validation?

S7unn1ng

Tbh, i love your artwork, so vibrant

Wat

I would not use likes as a metric for interest. This platform isn't really great for that sort of thing. I've never clicked like on anything on here because I've found no reason to. I'm lready paying for the content. For me, that's clearly showing my interest and approval.

sann

I love your work that why Pledge for this long (2016) but for me also I check Patreon mostly on my phone during the day. but I also rarely comment on things I think its just a habit. I also think its hard to check if ppl like things based on likes or comments because I see it happen with more creators here. ppl mostly don't comment. I'm also guilty of this. I also get that is makes things more difficult because without input from the community is hard to guess what kind of content they like. =)

Kyle

I love your content. Whatever you do I’m sticking around.

Osric1i

I love your work. I always look forward to seeing new content, but like many I am REALLY bad at commenting or liking. Please keep going.

Sin Ominous

Kannel, I love your work. I may come home dead tired from my work and don’t comment and hit the likes as much as I would like. But I appreciate your work so much. Raan’s Doll reminds me about a journey my wife and I are taking in a much less public route than Sammy and Raan. (Kind of look like us, too). That story brought me to this Patreon in the first place, and I have discovered wonderful bodies of work here since, like the one about the enchanted ring and the new job and the costume party couples and the bimbo bombs. I may have had to purge all my discords for unrelated personal reasons, but don’t let that distract from the fact that your work is inspirational and phenomenal.

Sad Dragon

Imo likes on Patreon are kinda bs because there's no way to see posts you like

Egle

Agreed. Your art pops in a way that is just pleasing to look at.

TuneAbleD

To be honest I’ve never really noticed the like button, I pay to see the art I enjoy, and support you as the artist so you can hopefully make more art you love to create.

Knightcon

Not sure why you feel this way Kannel but I agree with the others. Your work is amazing and appreciated. I'm sorry you feel otherwise. I just don't comment often and I also often get updates when I'm super busy. But regardless, you are loved and appreciated!!

Paul Sell

I assume this is about the low like count on your most recent post? Honestly, I've never thought about liking any posts or pieces of art on Patreon. It's not just for you, but for everyone I'm subscribed to. At least when you like something on DeviantArt or Reddit or YouTube, it puts all your likes into a catalog to make it easier to find what you liked. But Patreon doesn't have anything like that, so I see no point in liking anything here. But that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate what you do. My way of approving of what you do is by paying for a subscription. Personally, I wouldn't use likes as a way to gauge anything. A lot of supporters either don't know that Patreon does likes or just don't use that system.

z

I care, I believe in the stuff you make, and don't let the lack of obvious public support get you down. Keep making the beautiful, sexy art that you've been doing.

K

Your work is awesome, but, like others have said, I don’t usually think to hit the like button. Admittedly, maybe what you’re creating isn’t blowing my mind. But arguably I’m spoiled by you on one hand, and on the other hand the exact things I like from your work might not be what others like. So I don’t get bummed if I’m not getting specifically what I want from you as much as I’d want it. I do miss the OG shorter comics with big changes where the transformation experience is really emphasized. Like the one with the guy falling asleep at a campfire then dreaming of turning into a girl then waking up a girl. But that’s just me and it doesn’t mean I don’t like what you’re doing now.

Johathan

Loved the past couple of posts

Corrupt Bliss

As many others have said, I’m absolutely a huge fan of all of your work. There are some pieces I like more than others, but both the artwork and stories you create are phenomenal. I’m much more of a passive lurker so liking/commenting is rare for me (I don’t have any social media other than discord and Patreon), but I’ll continue to support you!

JR Richardson

Take some days. We'll miss you but we'd miss you more if you burnt yourself out.

john barry

you make the pretty art. we look at the nice art. we show we like the art by continuing to subscribe to your art.

Raven

Hi, Kannel, It sounds like you may need that break. If you would like more visible engagement, I will endeavour to comment more, but know that your work is very dear to me. I only recently have been able to muster the courgage to begin my transition, and I owe that in part to creators such as yourself. Raan's Doll is a beautifully moving piece of art. The ZOAT series is delightfully bizarre. New Job, New You may be my new favourite comic in this space, that made me squee so hard at the trans lesbian representation. So thank you, Kannel, and I hope that you continue to make the world better with your art, though I will understand if you can't. I will simply be grateful to have had the opportunity to support you.

Sam Heck

I LOVE your work and I think you're the best artist working in this space, full stop, but I think like a lot of people I signed up hoping for Raan's Doll and similar comics. One-offs, practice artwork, and really short comics are less interesting to me, but it's your Patreon and you can't please everyone.

Felix O'Connor

I love all your work even tho only some speaks directly to me and my gender confusion haha take a break, you absolutely deserve some proper 'me time' :-) ps Raan's Doll gave me everything I needed to get over myself and be whatever the fcuk I am... thank you a million times x

Badviper

I always love your stuff. I admittedly don't comment often or hit the heart much, but that's just because I'm usually more of just a lurker. If you need a break though, definitely take a break. The best art comes from happy artists.

Dov Sherman

You're never going to please everyone equally all the time. I get people who complain about seeing too much of things that other people say are their favorite thing ever. And often, the things people tell me are their most favorite are things that surprise me because I wasn't feeling confident about that one. Nothing you are doing is bad just because it isn't someone's favorite. You put out so much work and so much variety in your work that, if you make something that doesn't push someone's buttons, they should just wait for the next one. You're doing great.

Giulia

Not sure what is going on, but your stuff is great. You can't please everyone. Are you happy with your content? If you have creative block I know the ideas would come flowing, but people can also leave your Patreon if they do like it too. Now you need to decide what to do?

Otterpoet

As a creative, I get this. Some times you just need a break before the process. But, above all else, focus on what makes YOU happy when you're creating your art. Otherwise, it gets to be work rather than a pleasure. (For the record, this is literally the only Patreon I subscribe to because the art and content is consistently amazing.

Lex

Keep doing what you want. We are all here to support you. For insight I enjoyed “How to rob a Wizard” very much. It was perfectly short as is.

stephane aubertin

i like your art at it is and same for when you create a story so that one image or 10 i love it and take your time dont rush take a break when you need one and do the art you like

Zach

I like your content quite a bit I just seldom comment. Looking forward to the next piece

Lord Taitos

Not all of your work is going to be as appealing or engaging to everyone. That doesn’t mean that it isn’t appreciated.

TebbyChai

Echoing these thoughts. Not everyone cares about everything but everyone loves at least some of what you do. And I'd say most people love most of what you do. Just different people love different parts of your work.

Odessa Renette

I adore your work. Like absolutely adore it. I can confidently say that you are the reason I created a Patreon account. Your art helped me in some very personal ways as well. I think you re doing amazing just the way you are going. That being said, please take a break if you are feeling block or burnout. You matter and your happiness and mental health matter. I will continue to support you as always.

Alfons

You're doing fine, I'm always happy to see a new post :)

Britt.1978

Always great content and amazing work. Love it. Look out for yourself we are still here to support you!!

Robert Louis Stoll

My only thing is getting charged at the start of the month. Your content otherwise is great.

Gerphil Denné

well if you think, things go unappreciated, it could not be further from the truth. if it would not be great art and work, I would certainly have never signed up.
